An Invitation to the Elves

Post by Tol Vanima »

(( The following is written in Elvish ))

Greetings, Elven Kin,

This is an invitation to all Elves to attend a Festival and Meeting on 6 Ushos in Vanima. ((Saturday the 11th, 12pm GMT-5 ))

The Festival is intended to gather the elven people back to Tol Vanima, and celebrate her existence. During the meeting, important matters concerning Vanima and the Elves will be discussed. This will include future building and development projects, as well as discussion for the replacement of two elders, for which the positions stand open.

Food and drink will be provided, though volunteers to donate either are somewhat needed and would be greatly appreciated.

Entertainment is also needed. This can include music, song, dance, poetry, or even storytelling.

If anyone has something they would like to discuss during the meeting, please send the topic via dove to Isilwen Anrion. Volunteers for the entertainment or donations may do the same.

Any non-Elven guests will be welcomed to the Celebration, but it is asked that their attendance plans be made known beforehand. Also, please make sure that your guests are aware of our laws.

If there are any questions, they can be answered here or by dove. I look forward to seeing everyone at the end of the week.

May the Five Bless us all,

Isilwen Anrion
Elder of Tol Vanima

Ushos in Vanima stattfindet. (Samstag 11.1. 12 p.m. WEZ -5))

The note is poorly written and looks as if a child wrote it. Some of the ink runs a bit down the page and some has globbed together to form dots. At the bottom of the note, under the first signature, is a second one, written in ancient.

I have some sausage, and can get some food, if you would like. I can also try and make some things like decorations, plates, things like that, if you would like and or need them.

P.S.: Don't get confused when you see me, I do look more human, but I am part elf.

If allowed, I will also attend, not for the purpose of having fun, or any religious matter or the like. I wish to discuss some things with the elders after the festival.

Dear Isilwen,

I'm so sorry, but I cannot attend the festival. I have to repot my parents about the last weeks.

I wish you a great time!

In my thoughts I'm with you and the other elves.

The five with you all

Isilwen, I wish to bring up a point of discussion.

No non-elves may be present during the full course of the celebration as you are well aware, because there are also matters to discuss. Such as the appointing of new elders and the likes, and perhaps a changing in their authority and responsibilities.

As you may well, or may not so well remember.

(( I do recall typing that my original post was in Elvish, but ah well ;) ))

There will be a slight change. The Meeting will be held the following day at the same time ((Sunday)). All festivities will be held as planned.

I look forward for the opportunity to meet with you, Gil'Dran, but Misjbar is correct in stating that this meeting will be for the elves only, as we have some very important matters to discuss. Arrangements for a private meeting can be made at any time, however, via dove.

For the festivities, it would be greatly appreciated if donations of food and drink be brought or given. We are also in need of some volunteers with musical talents.

May the Five bless these days to come,

Dear Isilwen,

I also do agree that topics which have to be discussed, should be discussed amongst elves only.

However, in my opinion the festival would be a very good chance to come together with other races as well, to establish new and manifest and strengthen existing relationships.

Maybe we could plan an elven meeting to discuss important topics about one hour before the festival starts, to which then other races should be welcomed as well.

May Ushara guide your ways.

She just did ignorant lady. She set a meeting for the things to be discussed the next day I believe. The festival is still upon the 6th of Ushos.

Dearest Misjbar,

you might excuse that I obviously got the message wrong.
Nevertheless I thank you so much for your efforts to set it straight.

Dearest Mijsbar,

I hope you will forgive my lack of understanding as the new tongue is not my native tongue. But I promise to work on this.

A little note is pinned under Misjbar's:

Dear Isilwen, I offer an apology in advance for letting your beloved words get lost in such incessant idiocy as this tiny note here provides.

As a response to the note, my "arrogance" is a sign of clear self-knowledge.

You cannot blame someone for pointing out fact for another, even if it had been done in a more then condecending fashion. I will see if I can make the time to hear everyone praise the inactivity of the elven nation.

Inactivity is relative in this case, since we do not consider a year of few words inactivity. We got the millenia to count for mister Garett Gwenour. You should know this.

I find it rather sad you have to be so condescending as if you are better than the rest of your kin mister Garett Gwenour. It will be a pleasure to see you at the Festival, and the Meeting, hopefully.
