I dont like the new food system.
It makes me hungry too much and weak.
Also, you have to be realistic, could a person possible eat 6 hams to be completely full.
Can we change this a bit?

bitch.

I mean....uh, yeah.

Some things seemed to have a bit low value, but in general, I think the food system is decent.

As do i, the cooked foods are now used, as they give a better food value, and they dont poisen you ;] Which i think is a great assett.

[[ If im a biach what are you >.< ]]

Poison seems to happen a bit often though with the other food, I doubt THAT much stuff is poisoned, even if picked from the wild.

I think that a few items with low food value such as fruits could go without poisening, but in general the idea is fine.

(( All your Foos belonga meh ))

When picking things like apples, berries, grapes, etc, there will be the occassional "bad" one, not all grow perfect, but at best it will taste bad, it won't really poison you. When I get poisoned from food like it is right now I get the vision that some poison guy is messing around in apple trees

((I agree))

It takes 26 hours ingame-time without hard-working to starve.

In my opinion, that's quite fair.

i agree that it seems unfair that smithing and carpentry uses up food, but lumberjacking and mining does not.

Its not very fair on vegeterians.. thats all i have to say

Pork is obtained with ease, but my char doesn't eat pork... so he used to get apples, until there was the risk of poison..

Some cooked foods needs a boost, like mushroom soup..

The food system has to be this way for cooks to make money and live happily, just ignore the fact that in real life an apple or 2 may do you for lunch but ig you could eat about 20 apples.

The Food System is fine. And your asking REALISM in a FANTASY game, then go play a Life Sim.

Um...it's pretty darn realistic for fantasy.
I have yet to discover half the things on Illarion, never mind 1/100 of the map.

Please seperate some things here:

-Cooking
-Eating / poisoning
-Starving / Regeneration / Poison effect

Those are three systems / scripts. While I think the eating / poisoning part is just fine the way it is now, the starving / regeneration/ poison effect part requires tweaking. Whoever wants to test this, do the following:

-Do actions that lower the food bar and test the starving. Too fast? Too slow? What about the messages you receive?

-Regeneration: Do actions that lower your hitpoints (like... attacking Stephen ;-) ). Then, have a look at your HPs and the foodbar. Please note that there are currently two regeneration "phases" - a fast phase when you have a full food bar and a slow phase when you have an almost empty food bar. For those two phases: Too slow? Too fast? Too much food consumption? Or the opposite? What about the relation of the two phases? What do you think about having these two phases in general?

-Poison effect: Do something that poisons your character (eating cherries is a good way, encountering scorpions is another. You can also eat certain mushrooms like a toadstool). Now, what do you think about the damage dealt to your character? Does the poison decline too fast / too slow? What about the messages you receive?

Edit: The next one who writes "This and that is bad/good because it is realistic" or "I suggest this and that because it is like this in reality" gets spanked!

I think we should be stuffed after 3 or so apples, because it is like that in reality.

I like food how it is. I got poisoned 1/10 fish and apples, I think thats fair. Ham, sausage, bread, pies, mushroom soup, rolls, drinks(yes they increase food), ect are not that hard to come by. If your char is a vegetarian he would be malunurished most likely, so his sicklyness from food poisons is right on. Cooking system is a different story, I just wish darn bread wasn't so difficult.
