Stuff is very easy to make, and most people can make it, so the price is low!!!

#me wants to make the prices higher too.

Astral, the price can only be taken higher if everybody makes it higher!the Knight equipment is very good and its a shame that people sell it for 5 gold or less!you should start by yourself and I personalöly had success!I sold some parts for 300+ gold!

I didn't expect any newcomer to understand this but when Newbies sell other newbies Fireswords (!) They are ruining the fun! You don't see kids with no muscles wielding fireswords!!
Here's the deal: If you have a Firesword, you can kill (mostly) most weak monsters in 1-2 hits.
So, your Swordfighting/Slashing Weapons Skill is based on how many swings or slashes you do, so the longer the battle the better the outcome (and difficulty of battle)

Think about it, who in the right mind would sell an enchanted sword for 20 gp?
And as for your armors, a Platemail, if sold by a store, should be about 2 silver!
Think about what you're doing before you make stupid choices!!! AGH!!!

Edit: skill / powergamer / pk
its ooc

Hmm.. the here and now now founded Market-controlling Association of blacksmithing hammerswingers ( MacAssblaham ) hereby courts and punishes every blacksmith who is trying to ruin the marketprices by selling far under a certain amount of gold coins.

We, the almighty MacAssblaham, hereby find Setherioth guilty of Market-harassing, Price-dropping, and Business-ruining ! He is ordered to sell for a much more lucrative price, or to chop his head off with a spoon.

Member of the mighty MacAssblaham is, automatically, everyone who can smith a plate armor or a firesword.
Now, we just have to discuss the marketprices we must set. :cheesy:

And, i suggest, we should find another name for the thing...

#me reconsiders his prices

ok ok, i shall now charge outragously high prices =) no, joking. But we all have to do this together, so if one person raises the prices, we all raise the prices (just like the ontario fuel prices, lol ) okok, my prices our now going up up up!

I think, for a good plate armour 150 gold is to few ... and a good firesword is it's 100 gold worth, good shields also a minimum of 75 gold.

lol! I think we should leave it with SMAC though, because if you start telling somebody about smack, or threaten somebody with SMACK, then they might take you literally, but if you have just SMAC, we all still relate it with a smack, but they'll know it's probably an organization. So that way you get the humour without the confusion ;) lol

Okay. If noone is against it, the new to found trade association, formerly known under the pre-name "MacAssblaham" ( Market controlling Association of all blacksmithing hammerswingers ) is hereby named SMAC ( Smiths & Merchants Association of Control )...

Any other or better name suggestions ?

The name is fine.  Who will lead this organization?  Will it be a commitee?

I have one suggestion.  We have a MINIMUM(spelling?) price which all people should abide by but they can go higher if they want.

Yes.. this is the whole point of economy, and it could even make selling items to players even more profitable/popular than to the shop, and even bror could like it..
More interact with players.

In the Eyes of Irmorom, this is a great idea.

I will assist the SMAC as good as I can. Let us try to set the prices at the worth of the smithed items.
