Cursed land / Verfluchtes Land

All citizens of the island are advised to stay away from the southern part of the island Briar. A curse has fallen upon the land there that destroys all life it touches. Berengar, Blaithin Ravenhart, Errian Abêth and myself made an excursion to investigate the phenomenon and were exposed to the curses influence. We are currently trying to figure out a way to lift the curse. Until further notice nobody should set foot on the cursed land, for their own safety.

Alle Bewohner der Insel werden angehalten sich vom südlichen Teil der Insel Briar fernzuhalten. Ein Fluch hat das Land befallen, welcher alles Leben das er berührt zerstört. Berengar, Blaithin Ravenhart, Errian Abêth und ich selbst haben eine Exkursion unternommen um das Phänomen zu untersuchen und wurden der Wurkung des Fluchs ausgesetzt. Wir arben im Moment daran, einen Weg zu finden wie der Fluch aufgehoben werden kann. Bis auf weiteres sollte niemand seinen Fuß auf das verfluchte Land setzen, zu seiner eigenen Sicherheit.

Da ich mich dort doch recht oft aufhalte, möchte ich euch um mehr Informationen bitten. Wobei handelt es sich um den Fluch und wie habt ihr gemerkt, dass es so einen Fluch gibt?

Ick war da jerade mal, sieht ziemlich übel aus, allet versumpft und überall liegen abjestorbene Bäume un' Schädel rum...

This is indeed distressing. I have heard rumors of citizens going south and not coming back. I'm glad at least someone has returned to tell the tale.
I shall endeavor to warn any who visit Greenbriar of the danger. Thank you for the warning and may the Gods speed you to recovery.

You will notice what I am talking about when you stand in front of it. Every life on the cursed land dies. Trees, grass, animals... It started to drain the life out of us four as well when we were investigating it. So, in the interest of your health do not step on the wasted lands and keep away from it as far as you can.

I can only agree with Adano, something evil is breeding there.

The whole area is draining the life from everyting, it is like a great black hand would reach for your heart, wanting to rip it out of your chest.

From the information which is being provided this sounds like it could be a Mana Vortex. There are some similarities between what is described and what we know of Mana Vortices. This should be investigated by a group of mages.
