scholar
1.a person who knows a lot about a particular subject because they have studied it in detail
2.a student who has been given a scholarship to study at a school, college or university
2.a. is close enough. So it isn't a college, it's a person. It's a personal college. I mean, I don't understand this community. When a word *does* work and is fine and understandable (especially by the person asking the question), why does someone always have to jump in and publicly correct something in a somewhat embarrassing way? Get over yourselves.

Not really, it isnt even close, even with that definition, especially in the context it was used. And someone who whines about people who correct other people ar eeven worse than the correcter
