First of all this is a academy thats just here to teach you ((Not like the academy)). We also need more teachers. Well back to the Mages of Solamia. The academy consists of certain groups of differnent colored robes. Here are the classes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The White Robes
The members of the White Robes strive to use their power to better theworld for themselves and all its inhabitants. They never seek tosubjugate or dominate others, but this does not prohibit them from combat if they see the need.
The Red Robes
Wizards of the Red Robes seek to use their power to maintain a balance of power throughout the world. Whether trying to keep Evil or Good from obtaining an overwhelming advantage in their great struggle, or simply watching over the balance of power within their own Tower of Sorcery, foremost in their mind is that the balance between Good and Evil be maintained. They will not usually seek out combat, but if they think that the balance is being threatned, the Red Robes will enter the fray with no holds barred.
The Black Robes
The Black Robes' goals are diverse, but all have the same underlying theme. They seek to increase their own power in comparison to the other Orders, society in general, and other members of their order. They generally do what they please, except when opposed by mages of the other orders.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Mages of Solamia are governed by a Conclave of Wizards. Each order sends seven wizards to sit as it's representatives to the Conclave. One of these representatives also serves as the Master of the order. This honor is determined differently, depending upon which order you are referring to. In any event, the Master serves a life-long term in their position. From the twenty-one delegates, one is selected to serve as the Master of the Conclave.
If a person wishes to join the Mages of Solamia, they usually begin at a young age, studying under an archmage, who is generally approved by the Conclave. When a pupil is deemed ready, he or she ventures to a secluded area to take the Test . The Test is incredibly hard, and is never undertaken by a person not completely devoted to magic, since failure means death. Each Test is different, customized for each apprentice by the Conclave itself to measure each individual's strengths and weaknesses. The Test is designed to separate the wheat from the chaff; in other words to take those who will use magic responsibly and admit them to the order, while leaving undesirables out. Through their actions during the test, each apprentice pledges allegiance to an Order of High Sorcery.
