Skirmish in Silverbrand
It is ma sad duty ta make the inevitable announcement tha comes from war……Today, while maself an Syrana were smithin’ in Silverbrand, Ghorn came inta town. Ghorn drew his blade an few words were exchanged before Ghorn attacked us. An emotional battle was fought an’ Ghorn lost. I followed him ta the alter where he struggled fer a word with his brother, before collapsing. I tended ta his wounds the best I could given ma low knowledge in the art o healin’. The bleedin’ seemed ta have stopped so I picked his unconscious body up an’ carried him inta an empty bed in Silverbrand. I’ll watch over him in the comin’ days ta see if he will heal. I must tell ye all tha he dosn’ look good right now, bu’ we will see wha comes……

King Durgin
Something went wrong...
He doesn't know why, and what, but something' hasn't worked as he imagined it.
He was coming home from a hard day, the fight against Stephen still in his bones, when he was hearing their voices in the Workshop.
He couldn't believe it. Durgin and Syrana, in his town, in his workshop? After all the warnings he gave them!
Filled with anger he opened the door and entered, catching them at the smithery. So many times he warned them, so many patience he had...but that gone too far for him. He drawed his black sword, and after a few words he attacked mercyless, making the warnings serious.
But...everything went wrong...He knew he is not weak, he knew he is a good fighter, but somehow he wasn't able to hold his position. His swings were without power, and he weren't able to withstand their attacks.
Was it still because of the fight with Stephen? Or has Irmorom left him?
He doesn't know. He just knows that the last he felt was the burning pain as a blade cuts through his chest, and the darkness falling over him.
The next he remembers is how he woke up at the Altair. Irmorom sent him again back into life...but for how long? The cut at his chest was still bleeding, and he felt how the life was leaving him again.
Weakend by that he didn't listen much to Durgin, or Syrana, who were talking to him.
With his last strength he pult himself up, and dragged his body to his brothers coffin. With his last breath he was apologizing, for not being able to fullfill what he promised his little brother, before he finally felt unconcious to the floor, laying in his own blood.
He felt in a deep sleep, in which nightmares plagueing him. Uncertain yet about his future.

Rogan reads the notice and nods his head. He never thought this would happen, at least not so soon. But he still feels that if it is to happen, he wishes to do what he feels right.
He dropped his axes and pickaxe in his depot by Eliza, and headed out the east gate towards Silverbrand.
Now that Durgin be King, will there still be tensions? Probably, since the other might still want tha throne. This could still lead to more dwarven blood spilled.
After a walk, Rogan finally makes it to the ladder to the city. He climbs down and walks to the doorway.
Rogan pounds on the doors and yells.
It be Rogan Silverbeard, citizen of Varshikar, and proud dwarf. I come tonight to visit the failing dwarf known as Ghorn. I bring no arms and wish no torubles. I only wish to pay respects to a fellow dwarf.
He waits for the reply from within before entering

Goes to the doors and opens them both wide
Hello Rogan. Ghorn be in tha first bed in the sleepin' hall. Feel free ta speak ta him as ye wish. I shall stay awake as long as ma eyes permit an' as long as I manage tha' these doors will be open. Come an' go as ye please. As an additional warnin', donna start any fights an' donna try ta harm Ghorn. I wan' nothin', but peace atleast fer tonight.
Leaves the doors of Silverbrand wide open for the time being.

Pale and weak lays Ghorn in his bed. The usual so strong dwarf looks closer to Chergas realm than to the one of the living. He has a badly cared wound at his chest and his body shakes from time to time through nightmares he seems to have. He don't reacts to words spoken to him, and not to touches either.

If ya think tha' you now become king of Silverbrand by using yer axe, than yer dead wrong Durgin.
Jus because ye -again- struck down the righteous king doesn't earn you any respect in my eyes.
I will take up tha tasks given to the true king as it is my duty as his deputy, attacking him once more doesn't give you any right over the town.
Thurbert
Royal Deputy and current ruler of Silverbrand

Nilo walks buy to pay respects. He sees on the board that they are still fighting. He searches his pockets for a quill, and quickly scratches upon the parchment:
Dwarves,
Ghorn is lieing on hsi death bead. Stop your fighting, at least until he has passed away, if that be the case. This isn't the time for you all to fight. Attend to your Brother, Ghorn.
Nilo leaves it anonymous...

The three o' ye are foolish. Now isn' the time ta bicker. If ye wish ta take up yer part later feel free, but fer now we should look after Ghorn and mind yerself Thurbert I, nor anyone who fights with me, attacked first. Ghorn threw the first strike in this battle. If yer still wantin' ta fight we shall, but leave it until we have a resoltion eh?

After failing to have any affect on Ghorn, Rogan leaves Silverbrand. He checks in on the postings, and frowns, then laughs a bit.
Friedwulfa, I must admit, that your words make me laugh. Have you given up your desire for the throne now? Or is this your way to start realizing that. Yes, I will state out in the open, that you discussed with me you taking the throne of Silverbrand. That talk alone would put you also into the category of traitors, I assume. So Thurbert banding together with you to fight off Durgin and his followers would only lead him to more troubles.
But, I agree with Nilo. We should not fight now.
