Wireless

Post by Athian »

Just wondering if anyone else using a wireless modem has major lag issues now or in the past. i seem to get them right when i log on (anywhere from 30 second to 2 mintues) where i'm literally just stuck in place and unable to move, and or i take a step it lags for ten seconds. then repeats about four or five times. I also seem to be getting consistant lag throughout my in game time, where i'll get anywhere from mere moments of lag to a good 10 seconds. sound familiar to anyone?

*throws her hand hiiiiiigh up*

It has been good for a little over a week, but before that it was just as you were saying. And I couldn't play for days at a time. It's happened to me three times in the last month or so.

And it sucks even more cause it doesn't matter if you're the 30th person online, or on by yourself.

Mine seems fine. What are you running with? I've got Netgear and that doesn't have any problems of which I know, sometimes I might get a screwed up gateway or conflicting IP adress

The problem may be you may be getting on during your isp's high server load. My internet always runs more consistant in the dead of night.

I thought that might be the problem for mine, but there didn't seem to be a point in which I could get on without the lag. I could try in the morning, afternoon, night, and early early a.m. with almost no change. And it doesn't explain why it lasts for about three days then stops. I can't see a sudden influx of people on the internet for three days, then nothing for another two weeks.

Librarys close by? Internet cafes open for 3 days in a 2 week span?

Maybe it's a strange old man near you that ONLY go on chatrooms every so often?

If he's not at his home check the park. Also make sure he's the one with sweeties and puppys, then you know which one to punch...I mean ask not to go on the internet so you don't get lag.

I had that problem too, but it was because I wasn't getting much of the signal.
