Der Beginn / The beginning

Post by Ariges Feringwood »

****

It was a glorious day for Ariges. He really managed it to snatch the holy
sword from Liles and to hand it over to his master.
What a fool Liles was. Friendship – nothing more than an illusion. Through
deception and betrayal he acquired the blade. Nothing else would loan him
the might that he longed so much for.

The master called him and Murack von Wolfsblut into the woods, where he
handed over the clothes for the cult. Filled with dark confidence they
head to Trolls Bane, together with their master.
Ariges could hardly await the perdition, which they would summon. Pain
and sorrow shall become upon those town…

… and it came that way.
They summoned masses of undeads. Skeletons, mummies,
demonskeleton. Yes, even beholders.
It was a spectacle and with every single blood drop of the warriors that
soaked the ground, Ariges felt stronger and mightier.
He laughed in ecstasy and declared loudly the death of the fighters…

… but with that he drew their attention upon him and it didn’t took long til
he fell due to one of their blades. He woke up at the cross, surrounded by
the men he wished dead.
“Let us kill him at Malachíns shrine”, he heard one saying. But even before
they were able to grab him, his master showed up and brought Ariges
back to the woods.
There his master healed his wounds and gave him some power he
wouldn’t even have dared to dream of. Bristing with dark energy they
made their way back to town… summoning other dark creatures and
watching how man by man fell…

The town was captured….

"Impossible", Tatiana whispered quietly in awe, while she pressed herself into the shadow of the library "How the heck did that happen?"

Tatiana watched some skeletons roaming the streets of Trolls Bane and she couldn't believe her eyes. "By all means where did I end up here?", she thought. "I've heard a lot rumors about this island but THAT beats it all!"

Torn by astonishment and fear she didn't move at all but kept watching the bony creatures. Just until one of the skeletons recognized her she was able to free herself from the stiffness.
Her eyes widened and she turned around the corner to run from the skeleton, but it followed her with a raised sword.
"Damn, damn, damn!", she cursed, not minding any longer if anyone could hear her.
She ran as fast as she could and nearly didn't get the bend as she entered the library.

Without hesitating she climbed upon the first bookshelf, tossing down several books in this act. The undead creature tried to grab her feet and also hit after her with the sword but missed.
"Ronagan help!", she bursted out and tried not to lose the balance on the top of the shelf, ... as it suddenly began to sway under her movements.
"I asked for help, not for getting killed!!!".

The skeleton put a foot on the first shelf to climb after her, but due to this the whole bookcase was going to fall over.
"KYYAAAAAAAAAAHH!", she screamed while falling and it ended in a groan as she hitted the hard floor.
With being on the top of the bookcase she was more lucky than the skeleton... because the bony creature shattered into its pieces as the heavy wood construct squashed it.

Tatiana sat up slowly and her gaze wandered to the bones.
"Ha... haha...hehehe.", she laughed in hysterical manner, after she faced death.
"Put it in your pipe and smoke it! The pen is mightier than the sword! Gotcha!"
