Ein Zwerg schlendert durch die Hallen Silberbrands. Er ist auf dem Weg zum Thronsaal. Dort setzt er sich hin, stellt einen Krug Bier auf den Tisch und fängt an ihn mit kleinen Schlucken zu trinken. Seine Augen beobachten die anderen Zwerge die ebenfalls an den Tischen sitzen und hitzig debattieren.
"Das ist richtig, er hat den König übergangen"
Nein, der König hat ihn verraten. Das ist ein Verhalten..ts...Und sowas soll unser König sein"
"Achwas, der König hat immer Recht"
"Und wenn er sagt das du eigentlich aussiehst wie ein Elb unter dem Helm hat er auch Recht?"
"hrmpf...das wird er nicht wagen"
"na wenn du das sagst"
"Komm, Pause vorbei..wir müssen wieder Buddeln gehn"
Die Zwerge lassen die leeren Krüge auf der Tafel stehen und entfernen sich.
Der zurückbleibende Zwerg wartet bis die Stimmen in der Ferne verklingen. Dann steht er auf, nimmt einen Stapel Papier aus einer Tasche und fängt an sie auf den Plätzen zu verteilen. Als er damit fertig ist schleicht er zur Tür die in die Königlichen Gemächer führt. Dort schlägt er einen Zettel an.
Auf diesem steht:
Bürger Silberbrands,
was ist los mit euch? Euer König vernachlässigt euch, geht seinen Amtsgeschäften nicht nach und fängt jetzt auch noch an öffentlich seinen bisher Treuesten und sich für den Staat aufopfernden Bürger wissentlich zu verleumden und zu verfolgen?
Wo ist euer Zwergischer Sinn für Gerechtigkeit? Wollt ihr warten bis er so etwas mit euch auch macht? Was sind das für Anklagepunkte die er da gegen Durin Silberbart vorbringt? Jeder einzelne davon ist nicht wahr und frei erfunden. Das soll Königliches Verhalten sein?
Durin Silberbart hat in den letzten Drei Monaten mehr für Silberbrand getan als der König im letzten Jahr. Wo war der denn? Er kümmert sich einen Dreck um Silberbrand. Verträge mit anderen Nationen sind ausgelaufen. Seit langem. Wo sind seine Bemühungen diesen Zustand zu verändern?
Unsere Stadt wird umgebaut. Der Umbau ist so gut wie bezahlt. Aber ist das ein Werk unseres Königs?
Nein, es ist einzig der Verdienst von 3 Leuten unserer Gemeinschaft. Xantos, Belegis, Durins.
Wenn diese drei nicht gewesen wären würdet ihr nicht bald in einem wesentlich schöneren und grösseren Silberbrand leben.
Denkt daran wenn ihr demnächst durch die neuen Hallen wandelt.
Könnt ihr es wirklich mit eurem Gewissen ausmachen das ein solch ungeheuerliches Verhalten des Königs Rechtens ist?
Und an den Clan der Axt. Bis jetzt dachte ich immer der Clan steht für Anstand und Ehre. Kann der Clan der Axt dieses Verhalten des Königs dulden und dem König noch treu ergeben sein?
Nicht nur das Volk oder der Clan haben eine Verantwortung dem König gegenüber. Auch der König ist seinem Volk verpflichtet. Wollt ihr einem solchen König die Treue halten? Wenn ja ist die Ehre des Clans nicht mehr das schwarze unter den Fingernägeln wert.
Aber es scheint das dem so ist. Durin Silberbart, dessen Waffen, Rüstungen und Werkzeuge ihr einst so gelobt und gerne gekauft habt ist aus dem Klan ausgewiesen. Pfui....
Und dann..hat der König nicht auch versucht eine Zweite Garde ins Leben zu berufen? War das nicht schon ein Versuch den Clan zu ersetzen? Zeigt das von Vertrauen?
Ich rufe hiermit alle Zwerge auf, denen Ehre und Anstand noch etwas bedeuted, gegen dieses Verhalten des Königs zu protestieren und den König wegen Verletzung seiner Fürsorgepflicht dem Volke gegenüber abzusetzen. Des weiteren Schlage ich vor das Xantor neuer König Silberbrands wird. Er entspringt der Blutlinie des Königs und ist der weit und breit einzige der König werden kann und darf.

A dwarf walks through the Halls of Silverbrand. He is on his way to the throne room. There he sits down, places a mug of beer on the table and starts to sip it slowly. His eyes monitor the other dwarves, who likewise sit at the tables and discuss heavily.
"True, he passed the king over"
"No, the king betrayed him. Bah, That's no behaviour worthy for a king..."
"Nonsense, the king is always right"
"And if the king claims that you look like an elf under your helmet? That's the truth aswell?"
"Hrmpf... he wouldn't dare to say that"
"Well if you say so...."
"Work break's over, come we have to get digging again"
The dwarves leave the empty mugs on the tables and walk away.
The remaining dwarf waits until the voices fade in the distance. Then he stands, takes a pile of paper from a bag and starts to distribute the paper
on the chairs around the tables. After he's done with that, he sneaks towards the door to the royal chambers. There he pins one of the sheets he distributed earlier at the door.
It reads:
Citizens of Silberbrand,
What's wrong with you? Your king doesn't pay attention to you, doesn't attend to his buisiness and now starts to officialy defame and prosecute his most trusted citizens who sacrifice themselves for the town?
Where's your dwarven sense for justice? Do you want to wait until he does the same to you? What are those accusations that stand against Durin Silberbart? Each of them is false and made up. And that's royal behaviour?
Durin Silberbart has done more for Silberbrand during the last 3 months than the king the whole last year. Where has he been?
He couldn't care less for Silberbrand. Treaties with other nations have expired. Since a long time already. Where are his effords to change this situation?
Our state is being rebuild. The costs are nearly payed off already. But is it a deed of our king?
No, it's the single deed of 3 members of our society: Xantos, Belegi and Durin.
Without their effords you wouldn't live in a noticeable bigger and more beautiful Silberbrand shortly.
Think about that if you walk through the new halls soon.
Can you realy arrange it with your conscience that this incredible behaviour of the king is just?
Towards the Clan of the Axe: Up to now I always thought the Clan stands in for integrity and honor. Can the clan bear this behaviour and still pledge its loyality to the king?
Not only the people and the clan have a responsibility towards the king. The king has responsibilities towards his people aswell.
Do you realy want to pledge your loyality to a king of this kind any longer?
If so, the Clan doesn't care about honor anymore.
But it realy seems that way. Durin Silberbart, whos weapons, armor and tools you've highly praised and gladly bought once, was expelled from the clan. Pfui....
And yet... didn't the king try to establish a second guard besides the Clan? Didn't he try to substitute the Clan with something else then?
Is that a sign of trust?
I hereby encourage all dwarves, who still have a sense for honor and dignity, to protest against the behaviour of the king and to force him to resign from his position because he didn't fullfil his fiduciary duty towards the people of Silberbrand.
Furthermore I suggest Xantor to be the new king of Silberbrand. He's a blood relative of the king and the only one around that can and may become new king.

eindeutig hat durin in seiner sache recht. der könig der abwesenheit kommt in "sein" reich und prompt sorgt er dafür das die einzige person die sich um den erhalt unseres reiches kümmert gejagt wird. es ist eine frechheit was er mit dem engagiertesten zwerg weit und breit anstellt.

ihr seid ja groß dabei, den werten König zu beschuldigen, er habe Durin unrechtmäßig verurteilt. Darf ich euch daran erinnern, dass König Tialdin die Anschuldigungen, von denen ihr wütet, großzügig wie er ist, fallen gelassen hat ((siehe hier))?
