Forging of Kallahorn

Post by Garett Gwenour »

9 months back we find then only Knight of Kallahorn, Stephen Rothman, speaking with Salathe Kankas about a project. One that would in Stephens words, "Be the Bane of Evil.".
They spoke of a sword, one so perfect, so flawless, that only the finest Knight would be worthy of it. Salathe was interested, he had already become interested in joining the Knighthood but had not made up his mind, besides, such a weapon made in his name would be something that would make him even more famous then the Onion Ball Champion.
"Well how big would it be?" Salathe asked Stephen.
"Half my size at least, but light.." Salathe shot Stephen a skeptical look, "Oh I know what you think, but you can do it, here.. I did some reading..." Stephen pulled out some books from his bag all on the art of blacksmithing and how to mix little amounts of iron to get maximum results.
Salathe looked through them, these books would certainly help him make this sword, but also other armour, ones that few blacksmiths could do. "I can keep these after?" He asked hardly able to hide his grin, Stephen nodded, his red hair was getting long and looked younger then he really was, but he had a certain aura of maturity and wisdom, and as always less aura of a fun young man.
"I think, I will start right away.." Salathe said as he got up.
"Only one more then Salathe, I want you to put this in the handle of the sword." He handed Salathe a ruby, bright red and no scratch in sight. Salathe took it and said to Stephen, "No promises but I'll try not to ruin it." He grinned and walked away as Stephen called behind him, "just follow the instructions in the books!"
With the ruby from the ring Caitlin had given Stephen all those weeks ago, the Sword of Kallahorn would be something more then just a sword. It would be the heart and soul of Kallahorn, and the Bane of Evil.
