Hello. Some questions here.

Post by Calilmal »

I wonder.. I'm 'new'. I've been playin for about a week now, but i still dont understand some things. I would be happy if you could help me.

1. How do you cut lumber? I used a saw with a tree and i see a branch and some wood, but i cannot take em..

2. How do you smith someting? I got muuuch coal and iron, and some copper, but i still cannot smith anything.. Atleast the window of what to smith comes up, but what do i start to smith, i mean to raise the skill??

3. i got a mortar, and an empty bottle, and some herbs, but i still cannot make potions..

4th and last question: Where do i become a priest? i really, REALLY want to become one since i've read about em and i think the summoning of the undead seems as a very nice benefit. Thank you, and good bye. 8)

Hello, dear.

Well, a lot of this stuff should be figured out IG, but my guess is you've tried that already and it's still not making sense, so I'll try to give you a few hints.

1) To get some kinds of wood, you'll need an axe. If you've cut the tree with a saw or axe though, what you see in the bottom corner is a menu. Shift-click the one you want to make to choose it :)

2) I'm afraid this one really requires talking to a more experienced smith IG.

3) and 4) To my knowledge, neither druid, priest, or mage skills are implemented yet. Someone please correct me if I am out-of-date on that :)

Hope it helps a bit, dear, and welcome :)

Magic is not implemented yet, yes.
Also, when it works again you will have to select one way of magic for your char. You will not be able to make potions and become a priest.
Also, I don't know if priest magic will include summoning spells. There is a good chance of it being though. We talked about it at the recent real life meeting and it seems to be possible to implement into the current creature AI. (If you just placed a mummy into the world it would immediately attack YOU.)

Priest magic, druid magic and magic will come. But it may take up to some weeks until it is implemented. First steps are tested now.

And btw. I wait since four years, that priest magic will be implemented  . Therefore be patient.

Its nice to see you all helping the new people but... questions 1,2 + 3 should have been answered in game. If we give out all the answers on the boards it discourages role play and asking around in game and meeting people. Just because the person behind the screen knows something doesn't mean the character should know it. Just because I know how to drive a car doesn't mean Quinasa does. Let the character find out. It's the whole purpose of this game.

Also, sorry if I come off a bit like a wench. I'm really not. I just see the quality of RP going down these days and I'd like to let people know the small things that can help stay a little more fun.

Welcome to the game Calilmal, hope you like it here!

Although I agree I think sometimes, when you play the game several times a week for hours at a time, and there isn't anyone around to help, it does get a little frustrating

If druid magic is just implemented, I think, too, it is an ingame related question. But as druid magic isn't yet implemented, it is more a technical question of the gameplay.

I see your points Quinasa. And i also think i should ask such questions in game, but i dont see alot of people around when i play.. And yes, it is somewhat frustrating when you play for hours and noones there to help you with, for example, starting farming. I really want to learn how to do it ( dont write it here, since its an ingame question as Quinasa said. =) ) but there really isn't anyone there who can help me. I'm also low on copper coins so i cannot really do anything. Anyways, Good bye for now, and happy playing.

Simply think logically, somewhat realistic, and in period. You have to process every raw material I can think of now, which is why they call it raw.
