The Gold Mine

- So, are you ready? - asked Dominik.
- Always, my friend - answered Pendar with a grin.
It took them some time to start this what Dominik kept calling "adventure", but he knew it was just another travel. There wasn't any adventures left for him. Perhaps, maybe only one, but it wasn't the case that night. Dominik and Pendar set out to find a mistery, a puzzle that kept the old adventurer Dominik unable to sleep.
- Travelling with the Windslashers is as dangerous and travelling with the Fayeds, so I guess we're well - said Dominik, by the start of their walk.
And they walked a lot. Northern Forest, The Tree of the Five, the northern beach... just to find some old bones. Yes. They were searching for a skelleton. But this one refused to move. He only stared with his no eyes to the sarcophagus in his front.
During the walk, the two men spoke about many subjects. One of them, the Astral Eye.
- Do you remember, Pendar, when I told you that the dagger said it could feel the Eye? - asked Dominik.
- Hmmm, yes, I remember indeed, my friend.
- It's happening very often now - said Dominik. - And I don't want thousand demons on my back - the man smiled.
- Well - Pendar started -, if it were one hundred we could take them. But thousad? - Pendar grinned.
Dominik chuckled.
- I bet we could take thousand demons. With the luck you have - he said.
After what looked like eternity and a bit of getting lost, they found the hole. Both the men uncoiled their rope, wraped them around the stone and climbed down.
And then everything went white. The light got them blind for some time. When they could see again, they noticed that the shine came from yellow stones all around and a big one on the ground. There was no sign of the skelleton or it's sarcophagus, but in the walls and everywhere, shinning, there was gold.
- You're really the luckiest man on the island, Pendar - said Dominik staring at the big golden stone. - We're rich.
