The passing of a dear friend

Post by Nilo »

I feel that I must tell you all...

The newest member to our guild, Surkin, has been murdered. His body was creamated, and there will be a ceremony later.

His soul was handed over to the gods, and I'm sure that he is in a better place.

He was killed by an arrow to the neck, and it is thought that he did not suffer terribly.

Keep Surkin in your mind, and never forget him.

Regrets,
~Nilo~

Caitlin comes to the board and takes a quick look over the parchments, as the name 'Surkin' written on one of them, arrests her attention.
She reads through it and bites her lips. Slowly Caitlin shakes her head and deep in thought she leaves the shop.

A logical thing just happened. Who is so foolish to let himself be shot not just once, but twice? A silly man indeed.

Silly Man?

Post by Gibble Thibblebum »

Silly man? Perhaps, I knew him for a short period of time and did have a fun way about him but being shot was hardly the act of silliness!

Each time he was set upon by an assassin. The first time, not two nights ago was by someone claiming to be from some group known only as the Scarlet Banshees and was not the first of their victims. The first was an elven lady some time ago.

They used his biggest weakness to lure him out into the open the night I was with him. Posing as a lady that wanted to meet him for help with something she sent him a dove requesting a meeting outside the southern gate. It was there that she laid in waiting until his searching landed him in a cruel metal bear trap. Then from the cowardly shadows she threw missiles at him until I was able to extricate him and drag him to safety.

This was NOT the act of foolishness but chivalry that brought such a fate upon our friend and I wish not to here such ill words spoken in this hour of sorrow.

Though he was only a friend for a short amount of time, he will be sorely missed.

I care not that he died, he was a fool and acted like an idiot. Whoever killed him did us all a favor.

Thank you Ules, pleasant to find more moronic humans posting here. But I suppose the setting in which you did it was good.

Too bad, Ules, that I haven't read this before you were poisoned. I would have thought twice about treatening you. Or maybe I would have asked around first, how many people I would do a favour when I let you die.

Well, unfortunately I'm one of those people who treasures -all- life and unconditionally tries to protect it.
Your luck, I guess.

Misjbar, you constantly plague people with your presence, why do you not find someone with a bow and get shot yourself?

And Caitlin, perhaps you should have. Then you would be shut up, knowing that there are many who care for my life. Many more than for that idiot Misjbar or that (former) patheticx sap Surkin!

Ules comes the next day to the board, and sees the notes, looking very surprised. He immediately drinks down a potion and begins printing

Impostor, I would like it if you would not forge letters by my name, especially when any one knowing me would realize that I do not write conventionally, with a pen, like most do. I may not have favored surkin, but I did not ever wish his death!

Surkin is a household name, such as Pendar, Nilo, Marie, and.. err.. the lizard..... But surkin was known to me by words of the ill spoken. I hear many bad about him. But his dead does seem to be liked, so i guess my guess was confirmed, he was evil.
