Dear players,
we have created something new for Illarion: The Illarion Installer. The installer does everything one needs to install Illarion, it extracts the files, creates a shortcut and also creates an uninstall. However, Illarion still does not affect your registry or creates files other than those in the Illarion folder.

If you encounter any problems with the installer, feel free to post them here. Any suggestions how to improve the installer are also appreciated. You can find the new files here:

Liebe Mitspieler,
wir haben uns was neues für Illarion einfallen lassen: Der Illarion Installer. Der Installer macht eigentlich alles, was nötig ist, um Illarion einzurichten: Die Dateien entpacken, Verknüpfungen erstellen und einen Uninstaller einrichten. Illarion wird jedoch weiterhin nichts in die Registry eintragen oder Dateien außerhalb des Illarion-Ordners erstellen.

Wenn Probleme mit dem Installer auftreten sollten, zögert nicht, sie uns hier mitzuteilen. Hinweise, wie wir den Installer verbessern können, sind ebenfalls gerne gesehen. Die neuen Dateien können hier runtergeladen werden:

I have "tested" it, and found it a great improvement. I even believe this might result in less questions that have been repeated over and over again.

Ich weiß nicht wie es bei den anderen ist, aber bei mir stürzt Illarion seit dem Download des Installers immer nach Beendigung des Liedes im Spiel ab.
Wenn ich jetzt allerdings die Musik ausstelle, läuft alles einwandfrei!

I don't think I've ever thought of Illa that way. And I don't think I will. What does the installer do if I already have Illarion installed in my computer?

It just creates some shortcuts if you want. If you want to use the installer, copy all character folders into the new Illarion folder aftewards (i.e. C:\Program Files\Illarion).

There is no need to use it, since the client installed is the old one; but feel free to test it so we can improve it until the next client release (which will come).

Is it normal when you use the
installer for the mini map to
reset itself?
