The Stalks

Well, as a guard, I can say that Jailing people isn't always the funnest rp.

I was thinking, we could have some stalks for some people. It would be fun rp, and we could all gather around and laugh at the person in the stalks...

haha im kidding. But yes i think it would be a cool thing to have some stalks in a courtyard. It would be good rp too i think..

We dont have a graphic for it, but I think that it wouldn't be any harder than a well.

Maybe we could "Stalk" them for minor things.. up to 2 hours max maybe. It wouldn't be as boring for the person who committed the crime.. he could still role play with people...

I just think it would be cool.

I really like that idea durin,
As you point out it is not just another toy for the gaurds the rp potenial is really good.
I dont think there is much to add but that sounds fun

*shudders* To be honest, I've never much liked the concept of the town guards, both how they are roleplayed and how the roleplay of them always seemed to be the center of everyone's problems.

I do, however, like the idea of the stocks. It adds a certain dynamic to the powerful guards arsenal that they don't yet already have.

Cain I would be more than open to the discussion of town guard rp and how to improve it or problems you view with it,
I dont want to hijack this post, Open one, PM me ?...If you feel like it that is. Most complaints about the guard seem to be they win or are powerful. So if you have something to add let fly,

My only thought was that were as structures may be easy to put in there,how hard would the script that paralyses some one "to the spot/in the stalk" be. How ever that would need a programmer to answer. Then again maybe i have stalks mixed up. hanging cages or those things that lock wrists and neck in place. A cage "tiny one square room would be the easyest" I think. Excuse my ignorance,

I was thinking a stalk graphic, and the person cannot move on that square, but he can of course talk...

Also you'd have to make it to where he cannot attack... and probably to where noone else can attack him....

At first: I don`t really like the idea to force other people, so they can not react against it. I miss a possibility how the "victims" get a chance to do anything against your "stalk" (any limits?).

Second: A proposal like this should not only maked for advantages of a special group. The whole game and the community should have an use - That means other groups can also have an item like this to punish their enemies.

The orcs could have one.. varshikar could have one.. the grey rose could have one, the town could have one... Lots of people could have them.

Then we could make fun of them! (In character of course). Heck, while your add it, you could add a place to tar and feather people, that would be awesome. (Really, I mean it...)
