Cloaks - Big deal?

I think that once you put on a cloak (cape i believe here) that it should change your characters picture to for example:

If I put on a green cloak then my character will look like a figure wearing a green cloak.

If I put on a grey cloak, then my character will look like a figure in a grey cloak.

If this is implimented, it will add to a bit more realism and balance for those sneaky types, and if you wish, you could start playing a double lifed character.

For example:

You have a very loyal and good shop keeper by day.
At night he throws a cloak around him and begins stealing to sell the items..
