Day and Night... - Is there perpetual day?????

Hi, I have come back to Illarion from about Build 17 or before...

When I was gone, I was playing MANY all RP muds, text based totally. And when I returned I found it astounding that there was STILL no night and day...

I suggest the following about night and day:

Day:
Basically the way it is now.
Last 60 minutes.

Night:
A darkened version of day.
Different animals so obtaining certain items through shops and other places will be harder.
Last 30 minutes.

I suggest that because it will add a bit more realism to the game...
Also, it will help out the 'sneaky' types a bit since there is almost no advantage for those, 'sneaky' types.

Well, hope this will be implemented....

Also, this will add to the character's personalities, and help out on racial preferences....

Like orks for example, the races doc says that they hate light...

If it is perpetual day, how are they supposed to come out?

Not like its stopping any one, but at least this will give the game a bit of balance and a bit more realism..
And yes, I do understand this is a game for fun not a real life SIM, but some things should just be... Okay, good luck all of you...

i like this one.

but if this is tehcincally possible, i believe that bror has got something like this planned.
if this isnt possible, too bad.
yes...some races could gain advantage from dark, live dwarves live tunnels and mines and such, but still they dont hate ligth. but humans who live under sun, could find very frustrating to get beaten up 6-0 by some orcs or dwarves in the dark :biggrin:

i hope bror puts this on hes long TODO list :biggrin:
