1.) Differs. From some days to few weeks. Refer to the FAQ
2.) One to start, later it depends on the GMs in how far they limit your number of chars.
3.) No. Illarion is free, no fee or whatever.

Your characters cannot know eachother anyway. Yes there is a limit, a reasonable amount is the limit. 500 characters for an army would be pointless, you cannot log on more than 1 character at a time. I should say you may not.

you are right there.. i formulated myself a bit careless there..

so when i apply that rule strictly im not able to lets say play a trader who establishes a tradingpost for his fathers business.. and then the son goes of to open new tradingposts while maybe his brother continues business?

is something like that forbidden? of course i dont want to exchange items.. and this above was just an example.. but how strictly is this "not knowing" rule used? cane one know familly members or the like?

and ill spare you the 500 men army :D

Your characters could not know eachother because it is against the rules to be logged into more than one character, therefore they could never meet eachother.

He doesn't mean to let them meet really. He speaks about the background story.

By the way, there're different players whose chars know about each other though they haven't seen each other, e.g. Paidraig has heard about Galim etc.

That isn't forbidden.

I wouldn't do the "I own 3 characters who are all part of one family" thing though. It is kinda dissapointing when you want to see all the members of this one family, but you only see one around. It isn't bad, but I like the idea of actually seeing Shi Long and Sun Long around at the same time - WITH each other.
