A good RPing item - Chests that will NOT rot away

Post by Peace Keeper »

I don't know about you guys, but may I suggest an idea to have a special type of chest that will not rot away?  The old chests in I believe build 20 doesn't rot away and was abused to block emenies or conering them up for fun.  Yes, having these new chests, some people will abuse them just like before, but this could make the game more interesting!  We can have treasure hunts.  A wealthy person may start a quest of his own and have a lot of newbies going all over the map (helps them to explore) to find a treasure trove that he ditched behind which contains some goods or gold (helps them to get started).  If the rich person is to be even more wealthy then just rich (#me looks at Damien and say: Hey, those silver ingots looks nice, why don't you share some eh?), he can hire alot of other friends of to stand around the map and give the newbies clues to get to the trove.  Some may be good clues that helps the finding; some may be bad that may eventually lead to a fight with a deamon  (not too pretty, but hey, it could happen...  :)  ).  This way would help new players to get around the place and get to know at least a few things around the place.  Maybe make the trove only available to very wealthy people, for say 10 silvers each from the NPC or something (maybe make it so that only the person who bought it can "pick it up" and others can only view its content.  That way the origional person can sell it back for his 10 silver.), so people cannot just buy a ton of it and waste them around the map so others can't get around.  OR only purchaseable through email contact with the administrations, or a form that requires info on what's the intension, how'd it be used etc. and then Bror can add it in to the player account for us later.  Since the price is very high, not a lot of people can purchase it and dump it all over the map.

Tell me what you guys think eh?

maybe not so people can make them.  Making chests that doesn't rot away was a big failure in build 20...

Sounds good, but 15 silver...
The thing about ONLY the owners opening them sounds GREAT!
That could be used toward storerooms, etc.
And you can show off your wealth.. (us merchants like to brag ;))
But when you said that thing about version 19/20, that is because
NOTHING disappeared, they hadn't programmed rotting in yet.
Well, sounds good, needs some improvement though...
