Well, how about(don't get mad at my incoherency, I think these ideas up on the spot) a skill like in ultima online, where you can converse with the spirits of the dead. (an almost useless skill). Or a system where you are allowed to teach someone how to make one item. But you are only allowed to learn to make one item from anyone. (make sense so far?) You can't like cheat either. You have to be one lvl under their skill lvl in that craft. So, a carpenter can teach another carpenter a skill but the 'apprentice' can only learn one skill from anyone. And once they reach the next lvl in that craft and they learn to make whatever it is they were taught then they can learn to make one item from someone else. Okay, and other idea. An animal 'taming' skill. Where you seemingly calm the animal or monster. But all you do is paralyze it. So you can 'tame' a skeleton and run away from it, or 'tame' a sheep and shear it. Okay, and my last idea, how about lifting that thing where if you cast a spell on yourself you kill yourself. Just make it so you can't build up your magic resistence by casting spells on yourself. And you lose twice as much health

well i like some of these ideas but the one about lifting the no-powergame
i think that is a clever thing to do, if it were not there people would just use
potions on themselves and you could do it too easily (and trust me that thing
has killed me more than once)
