i signed up for my account and they said that i would get a email and i didnt get one.how long does it take to get the email?

There's no request for this name.

It might be that you used two different email accounts in the character creation and in the account form on the homepage. That could be the problem, cause you have to authorize yourself by your specific email adress at the form.
You may also recognize that it is not an automated system. The Gms send the emails personally after they agreed to your characters name if it applies to the name rules: http://illarion.org/illarion/us_name_rules.php.
You usually have to wait a few days or a week for getting the email then.
