Just wanted to say thank you for the invitation and look forward to meeting some of the other members. I can usually be found fishing or farming in Trollsbane, so feel free to be friendly and introduce yourself.

welcome wolf!!!! great to have two new hobbiteers in our lovely guild!

About the guild name, I know this has been brought long ago, but after playing a while the name Hobbiteers sounds like more of a joke than a guild. Does anyone agree? Because I think together we can come up with a better name with all the great minds we have now.

I believe at this time, I cannot help this Guild flourish fully. Someday I may return, but til then, farewell.
Note: I am working a donation of several ingots which ye shall receive by the end of March. I still want this Guild to succeed.

why are you leaving?

@Crosis I agree. The name Hobbit for our race sounds more after a fun or an offense.
I would like to be called always Halfling.

@Brendan, you dont have to nor do we want you to leave, but do as you must, I appresiate (spelling?) you still going through with donation.
Does anyone have an idea for a new name?

Perhaps, the name of "Halfling Home" would be appropriate?

Some accummalated Lore and Knowledge I would like to share with you all...Elaralith starts reading from a worn scroll:
"Halfling: A term used by the race of Man first, it was developed by humans after their first encounter with the race. Humans seeing the small race dubbed them "halflings" referring to their height as being half that of themselves. First used as a slightly insulting term, it has now become very common and is used frequently in relation to that race. Most halflings like to call themselves "Hobbits" and prefer to be called by that term."
Hmm....As far as my understanding, halfling is the term that "makes fun" of your race.

Maybe the name could be Halfling Habitat...

Halfing habitat doesn't sounds hobbitish, Hobbitish is very homely and warm sounding. For instance "The shire" or "The burrow" or "Underhill" or if we want to make a hotel "the sleeping hobbit" etc.

By the way, we have two new members, Hadrog and some other hobbit, what was her name Bumbol? Hadrog said he will work on making graphics for the hobbit village. Anyways some names could be:
The Burrow or Hobbit Burrow
Underhill
Hobbit Dwelling
Hobbit Den
United Hobbits of Trollsbane
Hobbit Brotherhood
(note:the word hobbit could be changed to halfling too)

To all Hobbiteers I will be in the wilderness for 1 week now. It has been one of my many goals to be a good ranger, I will set out into the wild with some food, and weapons and fend for myself. I will not leave letters on the wall while i am out for i do not want to go into town at all. So my adsence is just me being a ranger.

If it was 'Hobbit Brotherhood' then all your female hobbits would leave. I would like to suggest a name even though I am not with your Guild:
Halfling/Hobbit Grotto
Or you could even try your hand at being a Halfling community, but that would copy the elves a bit.

Good point Hermie, one question what does Grotto mean?

What about "Furry Feet Anonyomus"?

((Sorry, couldn't resist))

Hmm I like Hobbit Grotto, but now that i think about hobbit grotto (and alot of the other names i came up with) would suit the name of the place we build more than our guild name. I think the name should be more like Unified Halflings or Halfling Society. What do some of you other members think?

Well....the dwarfs is called silver brand i believe, although im not sure of that...........I think the hobbits should have something to do with a shire, since, we do love the shires of illarion. hhm....havent really thought of a name. Will we allow ALL hobbits in there? Only hobbits? Only the hobiteers? just wondering........

Hey Crosis, did you draw that Avatar? If so, thats awesome drawing.

The rules of SilverBrand (DwarfTown), to my knowledge, allow all Dwarves to enter. Members of other races are allowed to enter, as long is there a reputable dwarf accompanying them.
