@Korwin: This is probably none of my business and I don't know your whole system, but why should there be a max to prevent a donating member from becoming too poweful? Shouldn't his contribution give him a bigger say in guild matters?

How about a max authority for all members... the total number of authority points you can get by doing the combat quests, if we do have a max authority.

Well if we don't have a max. authority, someone could basically 'buy' the guild if they donated enough. The max authority would be about 40-45 which is the same amount as the leaders have. If there was not a limit, someone could donate a few hundred ingots and have more authority than all the leaders combined.

@Dyluck:
The system works so the higher authority you have, you have more say in guild matters.
@Korwin:
I think that 42 should be good as a max authority. About the donating, maybe we could have a graduated donation system. Say the first 30 silver you donated, you'd get two authority. After that, the next 40 would give you 4 authority, and the rest would be 5 silver for 1 authority. If people agree to this part, it'll be brought into effect then.
Also, I believe that some authorities should be adjusted a bit. Just from completing all the tests, you can get an authority of 44. High Council members have 45. I don't mean to sound greedy, but maybe we should raise that by a bit (Or maybe lower the authority recieved for tests). Suggestions are welcome.
@Roke:
We will most likely re-balance it, but it would have to be a rough estimate, since we have not been keeping track of exactly how many ingots each member has donated. I know that you have donated alot, and you will probably get an extra few points.

First of all, Iqloo needs to be added to the list of members. Secondly, I believe we should lower the authority recieved from tests and make the max authority of a member 42. I like the idea for the donations, so I suppose it is now active.

Let me see how much I have donated recently although that is, before the great blackout I could be off...
30
30 again
20 I believe.
I think it may be more but, doesn't really matter.
I like the idea of a max authority. It could be 35-40...

If the max authority was within that range, there would be no point to having the Grandmaster Ranger test, since most people would have the max before even taking the test. So as I see it, our options are:
- Increase authority of High Council Members to 55 and make max authority 50.
- Decrease the authority bonuses for the tests and make max authority 40 (my vote).
- Just make max authority 40.
Tell us what you think!

Any of the latter two sound fine to me

, I think the third one is the best though.
3rd!

I'll use my tremendous influence to vote for number two, tests get far too much authority.

I think that we'll have to go with the 2nd option, even though it is a quick fix... Have to see what Inioch Hope thinks.
I don't know if I can do the website from this computer yet, but new members Sir Gannon and Setheroth will be added.

Website updated is finally finished for today!
- If you use a dial-up connection, you can use the
text only version of the website. You can switch back and forth by using the little icons in the corner. It's not much to look at, but it's quick.
- Instead of using the full address, you can simply use
http://members.shaw.ca/astral1 .
- Since the old logo and animations were getting a bit tedious, there is a new logo with no animations this time.
And finally, the new members have been added. Maybe I'll take a break for a day or two now...

So the official decision if #2. My proposal for the amount of authority given for tests is:
Novice Ranger: 2
Experienced Ranger: 2
All Master Titles: 3
Elite Ranger: 5
Grand Ranger: 10 (-1 per failed attempt)
Following this guideline, the max authority one could get from tests is 31, and max authority will be 40. Other High Council Members please post your opinions.

I think we should slightly change the amount of authority given for those titles. The novice and experienced Ranger titles should be worth increased authority values.

I would like to propose two things. One being that we should have a set of rules that will govern the running of the guild. This set of rules could put restrictions on things such as, what the guild could decide to do in the event we had a problem with someon etc. Secondly, I believe we should schedule a sort of Ranger meeting (If I suggest this enough times it may actually happen). I propose it be held Febuary 8 at 18:00 GMT.
