Byron if you read the rest of the board, the GMs do all of their work on this game for free and a new server costs a lot of money. They're accepting donations for a new one and we're almost at the goal. Maybe instead of complaining about the bad server and ordering them to just up and get a new one you could donate something.Byron wrote:What the funkel?? back to the iceflames, i tried several times to crash the server with iceflames. Nothing.... please write down exactly what you have done if the server crashes again (How much iceflames where casted. What the other chars have done, have you drunken an potion and so on). I cant find a reason why the iceflames should be the problem of the server crashes.

OK, I ran 40 times through iceflames now, as a cloud and alive, in every direction and I killed myself with iceflames; no server crash, no "multi-deaths", no nothing.

Due to flame I think. Not sure wether someone attacked, but I doubt it. Only Djironnyma attacked me, and he was a mile away, with his staff.

In the recent "Byron" crash I believe there was one flame and, as a cloud, Byron ran into it. (Correct this if its wrong someone)
Could it be something to do with items or layering on the tile? Meaning if there are a large number of items dropped or already present on the tile....add the flame on top...then a cloud....could this confuse the server?

But it always happens when there's something going on in game... there's either always a ton of people or there's a spawning of monsters or something. Its an old server people, its a friggin' piece. If there are any more than 8 or 9 people online it gets laggy like its goin' outta style. Sure, to be safe don't cast any ice flames. But I can assure you that not EVERY time it crashes it was because of an ice flame. I cast them all the time and nothing happens. Last time I was in game and the server crashed Quin and Arist were goin' at it (( rotfl )) and there were like 14 other people online. No ice flames. Just a server overload. My point?: Old server = piece of shit, it has its good days and it's bad days. There really doesn't have to be any other explaination for it.
