Actually, it might be a good idea to make it so silver bars didn't decay, although gold coins would (for demon cave). It shouldn't be that hard either, and I can't think of anyone in their right mind leaving silver bars on the ground to cause lag.

Uuh, martin, in Tibia atleast the dead corpses decay. When YOU used to play Tibia, maybe there nothing decayed, but now atleast the corpses do(in 10-15 minutes). I quit Tibia as i got PK'd too often and made an account request here...

Same reason i quit Tibia, but anyway, in Tibia, there are parcels and a "safe trade" window, so that you can send things without the recipient bieng ingame, sort of like a package in the mail, and trade things without the item being on the ground.

i think, that to avoid this problem, a new trading system should be implemented.
for example when two want to trade, a window opens up that only themselves can see, where they choose what they want to trade, and after it is done, they just accept the trade.
wot i means is, this prevents from dropping stuff on the floor and vanishing or else prevents from dropping your stuff on the floor to trade and comes another person in an instant and takes what is on the floor.

Well that´s why a thief wouldn´t be any more possible.

In Tibia, that is what happen. Since no roleplay is involved, people just take whatever is lying on the ground, regardless if someone just put it there for trade. That is why the implemented the Trade window.

oh well
for theifing they could apply pickpocketing !!
a feature in-game it should be (like in runescape)
but anyway ...
i think we should give the GMs time... they will surely implement what is yet needed in the game
i do programming (by now i am learning C#) and i know it is not easy at all to program something like illarion !!
its not just saying, its DOING!!
give them time !!

Stealing things that others throw on the ground while ther tradeing is like running up to someone whos handing someone else a pencil and takeing it.
when being a theif steal when our tradeing.

you can only do it to other NPCs, not players.[/quote]

well ... i do NOT like talking about runescape ... first because its a crappy game, second because this IS an illarion forum, third because there IS a BIG DIFFERENCE between illarion and runescape...
but to answer you ... well... to have the feature of pickpocketing skill in runescape, you have to be a damn member who pay around 5Dollars monthly ... as far as i know... maybe it has changed since
but you know, runescape RARELY changes...

Things in tables still decay if you leave them open.

As far as I know, they only decay if you leave the table, not if you stay next to him.

I left it open with ym herbs in to create a kind of market stall effect where people could come and open the table to browse my goods and then close it to leave, all the time I kept the table open to stop them from decaying. Well, it appears they dont decay as the icons for the items remained for a long time, however when it came to do anything with the items that was impossible and when a customer put some money down the table refeshed and the herbs disspeared.
