Prizes for potions

Post by Echnaton »

@ Erdrick:
I'm far away from selling potions cheap, but your prices are too high.
Why are you selling poison for 11 and food for 6? Poison just needs crappy ingredients, while food needs redheads which are quite-rare and are usually used for mana bottles. :)

Damien is no druid but he got the point I think :)
Life 4-5g and mana 6-7g is a good price. People will buy at this price and you can make some money. Of course you won't get rich.
Super healings need more work but you sell them for more.
I charge 12g for super healings, and 12g for windpotions as well.

Prizes for potions

Im against the idea of regulating anything in terms of an NPC or set prices.
I sell Mana for 5 and Wind for 10 and strong healing for 30.
If u dislike the prices....u dislike the prices...nothing more too it.

Ive stubled across the problem of a competitor druid selling for 3 a bottle.
After an intresing conversation in silence he raised his price to my prices. ; )

Im not gonna ask Bror or someone else to make it a law....I just have to protect my own intrests...upheld the law myself as supposed in rpg...

The competitors who sell for 3 a bottle dont usually make such amounts that they take the market anyway.
Anyone ever met someone who sold 250 potions for 3 a bottle?
Thats a lot of hard work for nothing....

I found people selling mounts of 250 for 2 a bottle ! Or gave away high amounts for free just for training the skill. And i found SOME people saying to druids "No, a price of 4 for live potion is too much, i know someone where i get them for 2." And stuff. nd tht's ruining business.

Since it does not really need that long to get your skill up, there can't be like 3 million people selling 10 millions potions each.
And personally I don't think that a npc would help much. The range of prices is pretty good and obvious to all I think and even a really stupid person will one time/after 500 sold potions for 2g come to the conclusion that this doesn't pay off and that he/she could make money instead.
The druids that I found selling very cheap were mostly new to the druid business and after a short talk they had reasonable prices.
If the prices should be regulated, then it would have to be an ingame-action which would probably be even fun.
