I believe it happens when someone dies. I have had it happen to me two times now, and always exactly at the time of my "death"/"woundage"/"whatever RP reason the smile everyone came up with". So, no more killing people I suppose. Or atleast kill them OUTSIDE the flame *angry look at Djironnyma*

Were you killed by the initial casting?
Did you stand in the flame for a while first?
Or did you walk into one?
Was it just a single flame?

First I was not dead. And then I was dead, and the server froze up. No walking whatsoever.

Actualyl it doesn't hit every second for everyone. It depends on how well your character can resist magic. (And no, im not talking about the skill Magic Resistance.)

One of my chars can stand in a very powerful ice flame for about 15 - 20 seconds without dieing.

im still new so im not sure if this would work but couldnt we rp this?? If we rp saying that ice flames are destroying crops with pollution and smoke or something like that once the word spreads, people will be likely to help out mages because they are "protecting the environment" i don't know i think it might work if enough ppl co-operate.

i agree with moathia......i know that the most mages are also good warriors....they dont must defend themselves when they dont get into trouble.....

whats with my char? she is very weak in fighting and cant cast any flames....but she always could defend herself.

At the end of the day it doesnt bother me if they are disabled or not. But if they are we lose the opportunity to try to narrow down what is causing this problem.
From what we have so far it seems to be an interraction between the flame and the cloud. But since it doesnt happen every time there must be other factors.

Do any GM's have a comment to make on this?

Is it just ICEflames? Or also normal flames / poison clouds?

I'm not sure they can make poison clouds anymore, but it did not happen with normal flames to me atleast.

Damn no! again a crash down, in the middle of great rp, because of a damn ice flame and a cloud flying into it!!! That really annoys even me alot, alot!

i am angry...i am damn angry, really...And I am disssatisfied. such great rp! and than THIS. all stoped, destroyed and now we can wait for hours perhaps until we can go online again, and the rp is than over and can't be started anymore...rellay

Yes, it crashes the second your cloud flew into the flame.

And so this is why the flames should be disabled.

it would be enougth if clouds are not hitable...

noone lost anything, there will be a reset, and we will start at a earlier servertime, not even standing were we stood.
