Languages
Ok this is a question about th e game. Is the language system working. I mean what does it do? Since mine says I am fluent in elf language, but none of the others, when I hear orcs say stuff is that translated to what i "Hear"? I was just curious.

In my opinion the learning of the other peoples' languages will be very funny. But on the other hand there will be a lot of confusion at the beginning and I think it will be very strange if you can't talk to your own husband/wife or to some of your friends...
"Oh Darling, you asked me to wash the dishes? I'm sorry but I really couldn't understand your terrible human dialect..."

Well tahts why we rolplay, i think most poeple would adhere to those rules,
i think you could start off with comm/on and your native language, you can switc/h between the languages you've /mastered to tal/k to /your races, and to/learn m/orelanuguages you ahve to buy or find a dictionary for each letter of the lagnuage, so you could buy elf A.You can understand the letters youve bought but you cant speak the language till you ahve them all.

I think certain races should have sub languages, like halflings have had some interaction with humans, so they should have some skill. Same with elves, they should also have some knowlage of the human language, and perhaps other languages from their vast experiences having lived so long. This could always be determined by your intelligence.

Yep. I remember my attempt at creating the lizardman language Haslus, but no other lizardpeople besides me spoke it, because they found the grammer format too tough.
So what I do is walk up to a fellow lizardman, type #me speaks in a language with many hisses, then whisper the translation. Much easier.

Well im going to have a human charecter so mine doesnt really matter, however it would be confusing for everyone to come up with there own langwadge. I guess someone could put out an on-line dictionary, but that would take FOREVER to do. Unless its in game im not really sure there would be a feaseable way to come up with langwages for everyone. I could however see a mix between in game and live translations where elf charecter text came up as elf and other players (besides elves) had to translate it.
