Sever Turn back...bad

Post by Glosin Ironstar »

I was 1 set from mastering smithing and minned 2000+ ore and now they reset the server so I got only the 3rd set and no ore. This makes me very angry. Is there anything the GMs can do to change this cause I worked REALLY hard to get there and now that work was for nothing?

there is no way.
you can be happy your char still exists (if there was no reset your char would likely be gone completely.)

This is unfortunate, but yes, your character still exists; that's something to be happy about.

And remember, we are merely testers of an online game, it's far from completion. Try to make suggestions that benefit roleplaying, and not so much for individual characters.

Seems more like a punishment for powergaming rather than a server reset. Mastering smithing in a month is quite unheard of, took my char several, as in about 5 or 6 months. I'm quite surprised you have the 3rd set. Maybe you should cut down on your godly amount of work? Then again with blazing furnaces, next to no circulation of air, and hardly any food , with no rain for months apon months I mean cmon mining is pie.

This talk of "one set away from mastering" hits a raw spot with me. I don't want to see this kind of talk at all. Let me see your character sweating in front of an anvil, hear your anxiety because you believe you'll never be as good a smith as your brother, or watch as you painstakingly piece together a coat of armor.

If you want to be a Master anything, prove it! Play it out! RESEARCH how armor was made and use that in your rp. I don't care if everyone's skills are reset if a server goes down! Create a character and PLAY the character! Bars on your skills should Never be a concern!

ar, i cannot believe this. sorry player of glosin, but i think ya are a horrible powergamer. being able to fight a zombie without any armor and just a few step befor mastersmithing in just a month is really unbelievable.

ar, but thats shows just one thing, too many powergamers are around these days.

Being able to fight zombies is not necissaryly a sign of powergaming. My char was able to fight them without being hit once on the first day, wearing nothing but the cheapest shield and a dagger, just because of his attribute settings.

Being able to fight zombies is not a sign of powergaming by any means.

I have a character that is a non fighter, but carries a weapon. When he walks around sometimes he gets attacked, and he tries to defend himself. He does not have amazing stats, he has never trained at all. In fact, I dont think he's ever killed more than 15 mobs. But he can take on 2 zombies easily, using a short sword and a long sword (just what he happns to have.) and not wearing any armor.

holy crap! just got done mining 2000 ore? For crying out loud...and you say you are not a powergamer? It doesn't matter that you play the game all the time, that is still one hell of alot to do in one sitting....I think the gods should cut your hands off so that all you could do was talk....My character has been mining and smithing since day one and lets see...it is 7 months later and I still can only make chain mail ((actually not true anymore because I died and lost it, lol))....now I know why I never see anyone in game except the same old faces...it is because everyone else is off working....2000 iron,,,,,sheesh, and I feel bad when I chop 40 trees down
