The crying smith...

Post by Borak de Golvan »

Saurin Talon is walking along the River, as he sees his old friend Borak de Golvan crying on the floor
Saurin: What is wrong?
Borak de Golvan: I have lost my Goldsmithing skills, haven't the gods taken enough from us by taking away our ability to smith fireswords?
Saurin: You think it has something to do with the gods?
Borak de Golvan: Why not? Like everything in those times...
The talk goes on, as someone else comes the Way...

from nowehere, an elven wizard appears behind him and places his shoulder on his back

"well of course, forging such swords require powerful magic. whether the gods grant you the magic is another question. however, i am well trained in those arts. perhaps i could help you. my magic can create fire, then why not fire on a sword?"

the smith looks up in glee

"you can really help me?"

"why of course not? if the gods wont grant you magic, then i will"

Damien passes by, raising an eyebrow looking at the dwarf, and hears the short communication.

"I doubt that you are able to make him being able to smith gold nuggets into fdifferent things, what he may take as the far more important thing to grieve for."
He nods and walks on, seemingly in thought.

Saurin, who is tryin' to help his friend Borak a bit, by talking to him, suddenly starts to talk to the "mage":

"You think it is done with casting flames on a sword, if so, I would have already done it! It needs more to smith a weapon like this!"

He turns back to Borak:

"Hey friend...I know the times are bad, I myself even lost my ability to work in any way, because of the drought! No wood means no work for me, too!

But now they took even your goldsmithing skills! I'm sure the gods are highly in anger, because of those stupid fools, always destroying the tries of gettin back the gods symphaty, by stealing the wood from the holy place!
It's just...so....so..."

Tears are rolling down Saurins face, while tryin' to keep a little faith, but noticing that everything seems to be too late...

He sits down again and starts staring into the river, seeing the reflection of his face gettin' hit by his tears...

indeed, i am not familiar with swords. i now understand it will require much more powerful magic, and fire from the mountains like firetop.

there there, one day perserverence will bring out the best in you.

and saurin, dont take so lightly of me, i have magic far beyond your hopeful reaches.
you must travel to a place of the gods themselfs, and hope of finding a way to get your power back. i know by heart that it is possible. do you agree saurin?

((cut me a little slack yeah? im new to this :P))

Saurin again turns to the "mage" and a tear falls on the dry ground:

"Heh! You think your powers are higher than mine? If you think so, I won't say anything against it..."

Saurin again turns back to Borak, with a smile on his face, caused by the words of the man, who is a bit to impressed of himself. He continues on talking to Borak...

Well, the only chance for us may be that all of us get theirselves in control. We should no longer take what belongs to the gods. Even those stupid ones of us should have already acknoledged that we will never get the blessing of the gods returned if we continue making them angry in any way!

Borak turns away and continues smithing Axes, Platemails and Two handed Swords.
