A tearstained letter

Here eyes flicker as the light from the window that shines across her face. She yawns looks at Kincent next to her, slowly lifts his arm off her and gets out of the bed. She changes out of Kincents clothes, which she put on after her swim with him last night. She gets out a piece of paper and starts writing:

Dearest Kincent,

Im sorry, but i have to leave now. I dont think i could stand watching you as we sail away... so i write to you, this letter. We both know... Im a princess, and im supposed to marry a prince. But i have fallen in love with you, and my parents found out, i have to go back. I will try to convince them to let us be. I thank you for everything you have done for me, you have opened a whole new world. No one has ever been as nice to me as you have... i now see that life at the castle isnt the life for me. A life for me is with you... I promise i will return, and i leave this for you, something to remember me by.

She puts the letter on the table and takes off her necklace and places it next to the letter. She walks over to the side of the bed Kincent is on and kisses him softly one last time, then gets her bags and goes to the docks and boards the boat for her home.

Later on Grant finds Kincent and knowing about Kincent's dilema says "You know, i am sure I could catch her, the boat probably hasn't left... Since I am a prince, her and myself could go to her parents and act like we seet each other's hands. After a week or two I take her back here and you two can stay together and her parents will never be the wiser."

Kincent leans on a wall, he looks up at Grant, as Grant talks

"No....I already have a plan,but I have to wait a week before I even try it."

Kincent thinks about Kyra and a tear rolls down his face

"Why did they have to take her........"

Kyra walks to the edge of the boat and looks out back at Trollsbane. Soon she begins to shed a few tears, and she looks at the island and softly says "I love you Kincent..."

Kincent wonders the island,He stops to look at his wounds form the fights he got in to today.After a while he mays his way to the docks he sets and looks out on to the ocean

"Now that I'm a wanted man,I can't Brgin her back here.She could be hunted because of me."

Kincent sighs and thinks for a while longer,he finally makes up his mind

"No I'll keep her safe,they'll all have to kill me before they even think about hurting her."

Kincent stands before he goes to talk to Salathe about the plan,he looks out at the ocean one more time

"I love you....."

When Kyra returns and she walks into the throne room, she is quickly questioned by her parents.

As she enters the throne room her Father stands up in frustration. "Daughter, is it true you made a relationship with a peasant!?" Then her mother rises of her seat and says "Now now dear, dont get to angry..." Her farther turns and says "How can you not!? We dont want her being unfluenced by a peasant" Kyra gets angry and says "Influenced? whats that supposed to mean. Kincent isnt bad, hes very nice, one of the sweetest men i know, i very much prefer him over most of the princes you introduced me too" Her mother walks down to Kyra and says to her "Kyra... What are you saying, you would rather be with a dirty peasant than a noble prince" Kyra looks at the floor sadly and looks back up and says "Yes... i would give anything to be with him" Her father grows very angry when hearing this "WHAT!? I will have you disowned before i see you with a peasant... This discussion is over, you do not love him... you are to young to understand, and you will never see him again, now go, gaurds take her to her room" The gaurds move forward and escort Kyra to her room.

Once there Kyra runs to her bed and begins to cry. After she cna cry no more, she gets up and walks out to the window and looks out and says "Kincent... I need to see you again... I love you..."

Kincent sits on top of the libary roof...look down at the town of Trollsbane,and how it is no longer a beautiful peacefull town.He begins to think about the how the war could break out any day now

"If I bregin her back to this,She could get hurt.I couldn't live know that i'm the reason she got hurt or killed"

Kincent sits think for a while he finally gets up and heads to the frist floor,Kincent sits down at a table and writes a letter.Kincent stands a look at the people around reading.Kincent steps outside and makes a strange nosie and a even stranger red bird flies down (hope you don't care aradhul, if you do pm me and I'll change it) He put's the letter around the birds neck and it flies away

Sess'sth wanders the wilderness and remembers that Kincent, Salathe, and himself were suppost to go somewhere to help Kyra or something.... but he doesn't seem to care. He doesn't seem to care about anything anymore. Sess'sth continues to wander the wilderness as he thinks to himself.

Kincent looks for salathe , to ask about the plan one last time.As he searchs he rembers that there is no boat to take them there,Kincent becomes sad know it will take at lest to more days now..runs to find Sess'sth and to see if he can geta boat from Captain Tobias ((check http://www.illarion.org/community/forum ... sc&start=0 to see who tobias is))

Sess'sth continues to wander the wilderness and he sees Kincent coming. He then turns to the south, not stopping to wait for Kincent.

Sess'sth stops at the southern shore. As Kincent comes close enough to see the ocean, Sess'sth points to the south, and a boat is seen in the distance, perhaps a few hours away. Sess'sth turns and slowly begins to walk north.

Kincent looks at the boat far off in the distance and smiles some what, he then looks over at Sess seems to have a some what less than jovail emotin on his face.

"Sess you alright,you seem sad."

Kincent waits a while but sess doesn't say anything...

"Maybe you should take some time for your self, don't worrie about be at the docks when we head out."

Kincent smiles a litte and pats Sess'sth on the back as he walks back towards town to find Salathe.

Early in the moring before the sun has begun to rise a firgure stands on the docks, wearing a green cloak,green pants,and a blue shirt given to him be the women he loves and a sword named Surion by his side.At the edge harbor, a nice size ship sits the man know as tobias yells down at the cloaked man.

"Kincent, that you!"

"Yeah it's me Tobias"

"Well ye best hurry up! yer women be wait"

"we have to wait for Salathe Tobias, damn what is he sleeping in for"

Kincent grins knowing that it is way to early for anyone in there right mind to be awake.kincent picks up a small bag beside him full or his amour and so other things he walks over to the boat and throws them one of Tobias men, he then goes back to the dock and waits for Salathe...

Salathe walks up to the docks with his pack with the few supplies he will need. He gets on the boat and says

" What are we waiting for... lets go!"

Kincent looks at Salathe and rolls his eyes

"We're waiting for you!"

"Will ye too shut you mouths and get on my BOAT!"

Tobias has grin on his face as he yells for the too to hurry up

Kincent waits for Salathe to get on the boat then he follows after,as the set sail the sun starts to come over the horizon, a orange glow appears on the suface of the water.Kincent looks over to the fornt of the bost as he looks at the neck lace in his hands he thinks of Kyra and holds back a tear,as he syas to him self

"In a few days i'll be able to hold her once more."

As a whole day of sailing passes Salathe explains as much of the plan as he can to Kincent, but explaing about the hidden tunnels under the castle and how they work, was not easy. And now the sun is starting to rise in the early morning of a new day

"Ah... The sun rises, and lights up the castle"
Salathe says as he walks to the edge of the boat looking at the castle where Kyra lives, which isnt far away at all right now.

"Aye, we will be dockin' in a short time"

Soon Kincent wakes up and walks up on deck, having forgetten most everything Salathe tried to explain to him. Then in about 40 minutes they were on land.

"Tobias, stay here for a day or two, we will most likely return tonight, possibly tommorow"
Kincent says to Tobias, as Tobias nods in acknowledgement

Salathe leads Kincent through town to an alley. Salathe pushes a discolored brick on the building next to them and a trapdoor opens. Salathe and Kincent jump down and Salathe takes a log out of his pack with and looks to Kincent.

"Light it"
Salathe holds the stick out

Kincent mumbles a few words and the end of the stick catcheson fire. Salathe holds the out in front of him and leads Kincent a ways through the until they come to a dead end. Salathe drops his pack and takes a coiled rope out and puts it over his shoulder. He puts his hands against the wall and lifts himself up and then puts his feet against the wall and quickly climbs up on the sides of the walls. Once at the top he pushes cement block up and climbs out, and drops the rope down for Kincent. Kincent picks up Salathes pack and climbs up and when he gets out he looks around to find himself in a beautiful garden and he looks up to see a large and magnificent castle, with many banners hanging on the front.

Kincent looks at the graden, the beautiful plants and trees seem to be growing like a wild fire, and the lush tree's have many ripe apples haning form their branches,

"Hmm.....Rember when Trollsbane looked like this."

He looks over and Salathe who nods in agreement. Kincent then looks at castle Towering in front of him.

"Yeah how are we geting in again."

"Didn't I tell you"

Salathe grins a little as he motions for Kincent to follow him.They walk though the garden for a while till they reach a small area that has a few statues placed in some strange order, but Kincent can't figure out why they are placed as the are.Salathe looks around the statues he searches each of them with a confused look on his face...

" what the....it was this one wasn't it"

salathe beats on the statue of the man wearing a crown.Kincent holds back a laugh as he looks at the castle and wonders which room Kyra is in

'You going to stand there all day or help me out"

"Oh sorry Sal, I thought you knew what you were doing"

Kincent laughs and walks over to trys and help salathe.Suddleny a voice echo's though the graden

"Who's there,Show your self!"

"Great good job Kincent!"

"huh? What i do"

'your stupid laugh got us caught."

Salathe looks around at all the statue's untill he finds,another statue of a king, how ever this one looks old and haggered it's is also slightly hiden in the back,Salathe runs for it as Kincent follows.Salathe goes to the back of that statue and steps on a rock the rock sinks in to the ground and a small door slides open on the back of the statue, leading down to a stair case.Salathe jumps in and runs down the stairs Kincent steps on the rock again to close the door he begins to walk down the stair case when something jerks him back and he falls hit his head on the hard rocky stair.salathe looks back to see Kincent Cloak is stuck in the door, which had closed behind Kincent faster than Kincent thought it would.Salathe runs back up the stairs and helps Kincent up,not wasting anytime Kincent pulls on his cloak and rips part of it He runs down the stairs with Salathe ingoring the nice size tear in his cloak.
Back in the garden a group of kinghts run to the area where the statues are to see no one around, all of the knights but one turn around and go to sreach the rest of the garden,how ever the one knight sreachs ever statue untill he finds the one Salathe and Kincent went though, he takes a closer look and see a green cloth haning from the statue.the knight pulls it off and runs in to the castle

Kyra runs out to her window and looks down at all the gaurds wondering what is going on. Then the gaurds leave and she puts her sights on the castle gate, which the gaurds are shuting right now. Could Kincent and Salathe has caused that commotion down there? she thought as she was looking out of her window

Salathe and Kincent make there way through the tunnel to another trapdoor. In a quiet armory, in the center of the floor the stone lifts and Salathe and Kincent climb out.

"You remember the plan right?"
Salathe says, turning to Kincent

"Yep, lets do this"

Salathe nods and leaves the room and gets onto the window still and begins to climb on a rope ladder, that is hidden behind a banner. Salathe climbs to reach another ledge. Slowly, he makes his way to Kyras window. Once there he peers in and sees a gaurd walk in

"Come princess, there are intruders, we are taking you to a safer place"
Says the gaurd as he walks in

"Intruders... alright"
Kyra gets out of her chair and follows the gaurd

Salathe sits on the ledge and grins

"Everything is going perfectly'

He lifts his halberd jumps into Kyra's room and runs down the halls

The graud leads Kyra to the royal chamber,where the royal family will be gathered along with the head knights and gaurd.After a while of walk they reach the doors to the room to grauds stand with wepons ready, one of the grauds opens the doors and lets Kyra in,she looks around to see he father and mother sit on their thrones...a few grauds stand around the room..in the back coner a knight in a very heay amour stands hold a green cloth.The king mutters some thing under his breath

"Maybe it's Kyra pesant boy friend come to take her away."

the king let's out a laugh, and looks at Kyra with a grin.The queen leans over and whisper back

"i highly doubt the this "Kin" whatever truely loved her, he just used her because she was a princess."

No one hears what they are talking about though most know since the roumor of Kyra love is the talk of the kingdom now a days

When Kyra walks into the room she sees her father whisper something to her mother, then when they catch her eye her father stands up and walks towards her.

Ah, daughter your here. Your mother and I have some news for you, we've been meaning to tell you but we havent gotten much of a chance to, but this is as good of a time as any

Her mother now stands and walks toward her.

Yes, seeing as you have been so sad lately, your father and I arranged a marriage for you

Kyra's jaw drops and he looks at her parent with a shocked look on her face.

You did what!? You know i dont want to marry prince! Ive told you over and over! You never listen to me... i dont want to merry a prince... only Kincent

Her father looks at her angrily

You dont care for this!? We go through the trouble of arranging your marriage and you want to go and merry some peasant!?

Her father turns his back and walks to the throne

While everyone was watching the arguement between Kyra and her parents, Salathe had come in from a trapdoor and is now sitting in the kings throne. The king turns and sees Salathe and takes a step back

"What!? Who are you!? GAURDS! Sieze him!"

Salathe stands up
"Stop, that wont be necessary. But what will be necessary, is for you to hand the princess over"

Kyra wipes some tears from her eyes and sees Salathe and smiles, and looks around for Kincent.

"Hahahahaha, you dirty lizard, get out of here"

Salathe smirks and says
"You have two options, Option A and Option B. Option A is you hand over the princess. Option B is i make you hand over the princess. So your higness, what is your choice?"

The King laughs and says
"I will never see my daughter be touched by something as disgusting as you, i choose B, now lets see if you can take her"
The king grins, snaps his fingers and point to Salathe and all the gaurds charge at Salathe

Salathe grins and jumps ontop of the throne
"Wrong answer"
Salathe puts his hand behinds his back and takes out a handful of shruikens, and in 5 seconds all the gaurds are dead.

The Knight which stood in the coner, grins slightly to him self and steps forward.

"So you finshed of those weak little guards, but I won't be that easy"

The Knight graps two swords from the sleath on his back he spins one around then the other.the Knight looks at Salathe though his helm then runs forward jumps in the air and comes down at salathe while he slash the swords downward.......

Salathe looks up at the two swords come down at his head, he reachs back and graps Halbred straped to his back.He put's his halbred above his head to block the swords and reachs in to a bag and pulls some shruikens from it.The Knight's swords are block by the Halbred so the Kinight lands and jumps so he can attack or block if needs be.....Salathe and the knight stare each other down for a few seconds.Then the knight runs forward, Salathe throws some shruikens at the knight but his amour is so thick the shruikens bonuce off. the knight thrust his sword forward and Salathe doges barely missing the blade.Before Salathe can get his blance the Knight comes with another attack this time he punches Salathe as hard as he can, Salathe hits the ground and the Kinight runs forward Kicking Salathe towards the door, the door bust open when Salathe's body hits it. The Knight grin as a few guards rush in and shut's the doors.
The Knight turns to the king and queen and bows.

Salathe flies through the doors, and they bust open, splinters of wood fly everywhere. When Salathe hits the walls, he kicks back, and flies back into the throne, tackling the knight and sliding 15 or so feet.

Salathe quickly gets up and lifts his halberd and slashes it downwards at the knight. The knight clasps his hands together infront of his face, stopping the halberd, then he grabs the blade of the halberd and hurls Salathe and his halberd through the doors once again.

The knight walks over to Salathe and picks up his two swords he dropped when Salathe tackled him. Wiping blood from his mouth, Salathe looks up at the knight and says

"Alright, alright... You win"
Salathe stands up and looks at everyone
"But... Kyra wont be in this castle when night falls, be sure of that, im not the only one here"
Salathe looks at Kyra
"Dont worry Kyra, it wont be long until you see Kincent again, i promise you"

Salathe sprints to the window and dives out. He unsheathes his sword out of the back of his halberd and thrusts it into the banner, and slides down the castle slowly

The knight turns around and looks at Kyra, then at the king and queen

"Shes not safe here, they know of our passages"

More gaurds enter the room, and look around at the fallen gaurds.

"Very well, take her"

The knight nods and takes the princess out of the room, the knights follow.
They enter a dark poorly lit room, with a row of cells. The knight walks up to one cell and takes out a key.

"What!? Your going to cage me!?"

"Dont worry princess, its for your own safety"

The gaurds take her by the arm to the cell and put her in, the knight walks in as well.

"Lock it and give me the key, so no one cna get it"

The gaurd locks the cell and hands the key to the knight. Then the wall opens up, and Salathe is there leaning against the wall. The knight tosses Salathe the key, and Salathe looks at the gaurds and smirks. Kyra looks at the knight utterly confused. Then the knight opens his hand up and there lays a necklace, which Kyra recognizes immidiately as the necklace she left for Kincent.

"K... Kincent... is that you?"

Kincent takes his helmet off and immidiately Kyra throws her arms around him and starts to cry. The gaurds, surprised, try to open the cell, but then realize they locked it and gave him the key. Salathe looks at the gaurds and laughs, and gets Kincent and Kyra to stop hugging and leave. The wall closes behind them.

They reach town after walking through the tunnel, and head to the docks. Salathe looks back to see Kyra, who hasnt let go of Kincent since they left, still holding Kincent.

"'Bout time you d'cided to show up"

"Sorry about the wait Tobias... Now lets go home"
