Teleported to a Strange Place

Post by Rustas Ocklam »

While walking through the woods Rusty decides to go and visit the demon cave to race the demons for awhile. Rusty arrives at the cave and for awhile plays tag with the demon and rot that are there. After awhile he decides to go to the castle that he reached from the cave by being teleported to it. As Rusty arrives he doesnt wish to go inside right then so he begins to walk the path around it that he discovered was there the first time he was mistakenly transported there. As he walks he notices a gleam in one of the rocks.

Strange what I wonder would be over there Rusty says to himself

As he reaches the rock a strange red glow surrounds him. Rusty wakes up after a few hours of unconsciousness((spelling)) in a strange place. Frightened as he was Rusty still remebers to check his body for any injuries. Finding only that his left arm is a bit numb Rusty stands and begins to look around for an exit.

After a quick search of the little room type place that he was transported to. Rusty finds that there only seems to be one exit in which to leave. The hallways air was filled with a seemingly deadness as Rusty walks through it. It seemed that the passage way never had an end. It slowly started to creep into Rustas's mind that he would die walking through the passage way. The deeper he walked the deeper those thoughts creeped into his mind. Until he was so fearful of death that he stood rooted in the middle of the passage way. Not able to go forward and Not able to go back Rusty just stood there his body was shaking with fear of what might be.

Over here! Rustas Ocklam, if you can hear me! Over here! - the voice is heard from the far end of the tunnel, and the dark siluet is seen, reaching towards Rustas with one hand.

Rusty was standing there rooted to the same spot for many and hour. Then a saying his Great Grandmother always used to say came to his mind Danger and journeys are always connected. But to let the danger stop you from your journey. Now that is the way of a fool. Remebering this now gave Rusty the will to go on. Slowly foot after foot Rusty began to once again make his way down the seemingly never ending tunnel. He walked for what seemed hours but was really only one. Then he saw an orange glow farther down the tunnel. Seeing this frightened Rusty even more but keeping true to his Great Grandmothers saying he persisted. It took another couple of minutes for Rusty to reach the end of the tunnel. The place he had entered seemed ten times worse than the place Rusty had just came from. A feeling of death was hanging like a carpet over the air seeming to make it harder to breath. Heat also radiated from this place. Taking nice and slow breaths and trying to keep the fear that he so clearly felt at bay. Rusty started to search the room for a way out. Three doorways there were. Each with its own symbol above the door. The symbols were unknown to Rusty but the meaning rang clear in his mind. The first door saidEnter me and you will find life A strange feeling came to mind at that meaning making Rusty want to run to the door and fling it open. But something held him from it. Rusty looked at the second door its symbols seemed to say Wealth lays at the end of my way but only for those willing to take it Rusty looked to the third door as he did so a shadow of fear fell upon him making him sink to his knees the door seemed to be the place where all the feeling of death radiated from it seemed to scream Mighty and weak have fell in this place. The warriors and scholars alike. The big people and little people. All have met there match this way. Each door seemed to pull Rusty towards it seemingly ripping him from his very body. They also seemed to be fighting against the other doors as well. Unknowingly Rusty stood and begin to walk towards each gate in turn only to be stopped and pulled back towards another

The struggle seemed to continue for a long while. Neither being behind the door seemed to be able to defeat the other 2 and win the war that seemed to be waging. They began to change their tactics. Each offering Rusty diffrent things. They bombarded his mind giving him no time to think at all. Then suddenly Rustys mind went blank. All the confusion that had torn through him was gone in one quick burst. Something new replaced it. Not talking or anything of the sort more like emotions. But it seemed to speak to him. Rusty knew which door he must take. It was the third door. Not giving any thought to the dangers ahead Rusty opened the third door and walked in. Deathly screams filled his mind as he went in they were from the two other doors. But the third laughed a laugh that struck fear into Rustys. He continued to walk onward deeper and deeper into the tunnel behind the third door. The air became staler and staler it gave a sense of things that were to come.

Rusty continued to walk down the tunnel. After a bit more he came across a huge cave. Looking deep into the cave Rusty made out shapes of spiders. Hundreds of spiders all moving in a seemingly random pattern. But once again the strange blankness returned as did the speech through the emotions. It showed him the path through the spiders. Once again putting his complete trust in the way shown to him. After spending a few moments to put down the rising fear Rusty began to follow the path burned so clearly into his mind. He slowly made his way through the hundreds of spiders expecting at every moment that they would charge and rip him to pieces. As he reached the other side a strange rope fell down leading to a exit at the top. Rusty began the slow climb to the top of the wall. After reaching the top he looked down and saw why the spiders did not attack him. All along the path was laid spider eggs and the adult spiders would not risk breaking any of the eggs to get to him. Rusty then sat down for a bit and took out a piece of ham from his pack. Spending about 10 minutes to eat the ham and rest for a bit Rusty once again started to pick his way down the tunnel which was covered with huge slabs of rocks that he had to get around.

Walking down this portion of the path was more dangerous than any others. Rusty once tripped and nearly fell into a spike filled pit that was put there. So watching closely for traps Rusty slowly began to make his way to the unknown ahead. As he walked he came across two ogre guardians made of stone. At first paying them no heed Rusty continued to walk onward when a strange substence began to make the guardians move and come alive to kill Rusty as he was trespassing on their grounds. Knowing that he could fight ogres on the island Rusty withdrew his shortsword and prepared to defend himself. The orges advanced carring huge clubs made of stone. The first swung its club but being far faster than this creature Rusty dodged it easily. The club hit the cave wall making a huge echo that pained Rusty's ears. At the same time of the echo the other ogre swung its club. Rusty just barely made it to one side as the ringing of his ears slowed him down. Going on the attack Rusty stabed at the closest ogre with his short sword but it didnt even chip the ogres stoney flesh

Knowing that he didnt know enough magiv to defeat these stone creatures and that his weapon would not penetrate Rusty came up with a new idea. He ran inbetween the two creatures who did just as was expected and swung at the same time. Dodging out of the way just in time the two diffrent clubs hit the other stone ogre smashing it to bits. Once again wiping himself off Rusty rose once again and continued down the path way. He walked for another hour or so until he entered a room that had a huge wall filled with fire that was blocking the exit. The heat from the thing was unbelievable. The strange blankness once again entered his mind and seemed to say for Rusty to stick his shortsword into the flame. Begining to walk closer to the wall of fire Rusty withdrew his shortsword and stuck it into the flaming wall. The heat rushed through the sword and seared Rusty's hand that held the hilt of the sword. Rusty dropped the sword he bandaged his hand to the best of his ability and took off his cloak to wrap his sword in. As he bent down to look at the sword he saw flames rising from it and it had begun to glow red. Rusty quickly wrapped the sword in his cloak and began to think on a way to get across the flaming wall of fire. But the blankness returned it told him that he could not yet defeat the creatures on the other side of the wall of fire or even the wall of fire it self. It told him to go back to the island and once he was sufficiantly stronger to come back and go through the wall. Rusty argued with this blankness saying that there was no way back. But the blankness seemed to say that in every cavern a way back was there and all you had to do was find the right way. Rusty searched the cavern slowly do the the increasing pain in his right hand from the burn wound. But he found what the blankness had said would be there symbols eched in the wall. Using his left hand Rusty pressed the symbols told to him by the blankness. Once the last symbol was pressed the orange glow once again grew around Rusty. He was transported home still clutching the flaming sword that his sword had become. He lay unconscious. But in the deeper parts of his mind the blankness was there and Rusty knew he would once again go into that cavern and find what lay on the other side of the fire wall.
