When you buy something than right when you get the stuff the server freezes do you still have the items?

When the server is reloaded your character is restored to the status since your last save (the last time you logged out). So if you didn't log out after you traded, you will have been reset to before it happened.

Can this can lead to the loss of items forever, or maybe even the duplication of items?

Items are calculated for every player. If you have an item you have it, if not, then not.
