Strange thing in the library

I have searched throughout the library for quite some time and have found not even a trace of books about runes or herbs. Are they still there or have they been withdrawn from services.

Perhaps they have been stolen away in hope that the arts of magic can be lost forever? Perhaps someone stole them to his own dungeon to study them and build new spells and even create more runes, maybe so he can become powerful enough to conquer a town or world? Worth thinking about ehh..?
