This may be a bug or something wierd

But sometimes when my character eats his fill ((till he is stuffed)) it only took a little while to get him hungry again ((just a few minings)) Can somebody please help.

Your character's stats probobly are so that you don't have very much stamina.

It is actually more a question of common sence, I belive the message you get after mining too much is "..hungry and tired" now if you stuffed your face with food would you still be hungry? Probably not. However would eating a ton of food until your belly almost makes your shirt burst make you less tired? I would think not. Try doing something else than working or fighting for awhile (talking and interacting with other characters for example) then the next time you try to dig I am sure you will have regained more stamina.
