Questionable Roleplaying...

Post by Aerinkoth »

I was walking in town tonight, and a female elf told me to slow down because I was rushing. Then she started to say such things like I'll be dust in a matter of decades, and I'm passing life by too quickly. She asked if I was somebody, who I wasn't, and then she said "[my name] then."

Oddly enough, I've never told my name to anybody and nobody even heard of me, as far as I know. I denied that was my name, but she said she was using "[my name]" as an example, though she kept calling me that. I found the conversation humorous, then I asked if she was Elaralith or not. She only said 'Shhh.' I inquired because she was the only female elf I know of that would speak so negatively. I think she was, but I'm not too sure (24***).

I think it is a well known fact, it is awful roleplaying to check the server status to view peoples names, then call them out IC to people you never even met. I think the server status was created just to see who was on, not too name check. The female elf just said her character knows a lot... :?

Anyway, I suggest people stop using the server status to get a name when they never even heard the name before or simply don't know it. This ruins the roleplay of my character being 'mysterious,' after all.

Excuse me. But "Elaralith" did not use the server status to get your name. She said ingame she knows things and whether you believe it or not is not the issue. She found out ingame such things as your name and you have no right to go blindly accusing me of using the server status of getting your name.

I do have a right to accuse you of that, considering there's no possible way for you to get my name when I don't even talk to people.

Very cute Elaralith...first, you insist on using my name, in which NOBODY has ever heard of, in the game, and when I ask you OOC from who you heard it from, you ignore me and keep whining about how I was "OOC spamming." Spam is classified as useless jibberish that serves no point. When I was asking you about your awful RP, I'm fairly sure it wasn't spam. I believe the real argument happened after you finished insulting everybody you met and calling Veralion a bad chief...(my, how priestess-like of you. Are you sure you preach the word of Elara and not Moshran?)

Here's what I believe happened. You tried to 'magically' read my mind, and once you KNEW you only checked the server status to find it out, you claim you heard it from somebody (though you refuse to tell me, and I don't know why). I know for a fact you used the server status, because you first asked if my name was "Gurnoc" or something. When I said no, you said "Aerinkoth then." Now please, answer the vital question to this argument; how the hell did you get my name if I NEVER introduced to anybody or even gave a hint at the slightest letter of my name?

This wouldn't bother me so much, except that you have an agenda to ruin my role as a mysterious character who doesn't generally act friendly. You say my name everytime we cross paths, but still refuse to give a logical explanation about its discovery. Is it so hard to end this and just not say it, to do us both good? It irks me very badly, and you know it.

-Yours Angrily, the player of Aerinkoth.

I dont think Elaralith was doing good role play there for a simple fact how could she know his name when he told no one? So she must of used the server status to check for his name. I been reading lots of post about Elaralith doing bad role play and other bad things. And she calls herself a priest.

Shakes his head

I have also read that she walks around casting on people and such. So I think Elaralith did check for his name.

The player of Elaralith has never claimed to be a priestess. People tend to mix ic and ooc stuff a lot.

As far as Elaralith attacking people with spells, this is a ingame matter. Don't fuss at the player of Elaralith because of this. Settle it ingame. You never know, she may be an evil wizardress disguising herself as a priestess.

*The player of Elaralith smiles reading the above posts*

I am not a priestess...how do even know I am female?
I don't know "magic"

I will say again, stop whining OOC about things you can't figure out IC. It is bad Rp Aerinkoth and it grates on my nerves.

Elaralith, you have very bad roleplay. There is absoluetly no way your character could know this person's name. Unless your character is a goddess, which she isn't, then there is no way. And it is bad roleplay on your part.

Oh yes, and Elaralith, you keep not answering these questions.

1. When was I ever a sadistic Liar?

2. When did i ever get into a verbal fight with a person OOC?

Please answer Elaralith.

@Grant Stop harrassing me please.
You don't need to be a goddess to know how to use your ears.

If i read here ever again "you have a bad Roleplay" i will scream!

We aren´t in the position to decide who play his role bad or not,

It´s one of the cheapest arguments i ever read.
Talk together what is not so good and make suggestions how something can be improved, but please forget the sentence "You have a bad roleplay"!
What do you think you can change with these words? Nothing because its only meant as a insult.

I'm the whiner? So you mean, last night, the other five people including myself that were making good OOC points were ignored as you whined about "OOC spamming?" Sure...

Anyway, quit dodging the point. If I find out IC, I'll be forced to tell you my name. For all I know, you could be making this up and you just want a clever trick for getting my name. Now answer my questions this time, or I'll know for a fact you didn't get my name by anybody, and you're just trying to get out of it.

Until you stop saying my name in the game, I will continue to "grate" on your nerves in OOC until I'm satisfied as to why you pulled my name off the server status and are trying to crash my roleplaying down. I refuse to be forced in ruining my role by asking you in character, and there is NOTHING harmful about you telling me who told you, or just stop saying it all together. (()) Was invented in the game for a reason, and using them doesn't make you a bad roleplayer. Remember, don't change the subject, give me an answer or shut up about my name...please.

Hm...and you called me a bad roleplayer because of my OOC. So we're both wrong on this part?

I understand your frustration Fieps, but it's obviously bad roleplaying if she uses OOC means to obtain IC information.

Can't you do simple math Elaralith? There is no way to get my name if I never told it to anybody let alone introduced. What is so difficult to understand?

Elaralith, I am not harassing you. I am pointing flaws in your roleplay. Plain and simply.

And you keep skipping these questions:

1. When have I ever "sadistically lied"?

2. When have I ever gotten into a verbal fight with anyone?

I believe it is extremely evident what happened, and proven beyond a resonable doubt in a court of law.

I can understand Aerinkoths frustation over the fact that Elaralith still refuses to admit she made a little mistake.

Aerinkoth has never told anyone his name.
The only way to find it out is by using "server status".

This must simply means she was watching "server status".

There is no way around it.

Your guilty Elaralith, and denying it simply makes it all look sillier.
