The Desert Expands!

Post by Bumbol Woodstock »

The desert has grown much more, this time into town. A large portion of the grass near the tavern has turned into sand! And other portions of the town are turning into sand! Gather buckets of water and protect the animals, we must not let them go into extinction during this famine.

John Laffing reads the post, shocked. Then he remembers as he scribbles on a piece of dried, crumpled paper and attaches it to the board.

There was a drought today. I remember lots of people wondering why we couldn't mine. The rocks had all dried up. I didn't think it could get this bad!

The farmland by the tavern is now covered partially with desert, it looks like no accident either!
Thankfully I have gathered thousands of grain over the months, I thought a time of famine would come about some day, just I never thought it would happen so soon.

gods

You raise an interesting point, however I believe it is the gods that are the cause for the expanding desert. I believe we should gather our belongings and find ourselves a new home.

There is a quite small patch of farmland to the north-east of the shop, inside the wall. The soil looks very black and good for farming, though it is anyone's guess whether it will be there long...

A note is listed in haste.

I certainly hope the desert continues to expand, and water becomes very scarce. You will all suffer, and I pity yet laugh at you all at the very same time.

I for one think some one should lock you up in some building somewhere and throw away the key, you will suffer just like all of us. So quit making senseless posts.

Senseless?! You dare call my opinions senseless?! You have no right, you have not the slightest idea what it's like to witness the endless amount of transgressions...transgressions committed by idiots who lack common sense, who tear up their own city from under them. I will NOT suffer, I have no use or need for water. Don't be so simple, think for a moment.

The solution to this problem is quite simple, but you don't seem to value my presence, let alone my speech. Why should I help who I despise?
