Right at that moment, a loud noise like the crashing of waves is heard throughout the forest. Blackness starts to creep upon the land where sunshine used to reflect upon the dew. Suddenly, the several people standing in the woods can make out hundreds of snakes passing by the forest in a huge stampede. The ground rattles as snakes ranging from 2 feet to 20 feet long go by.

Khalime, walking out of town with an axe to apparently chop for wood, sees hundreds of snakes. Khalime, not knowing what to do, stares at the snakes from a distance with a hand on his weapon, hoping the snakes will stay away. Khalime looks around to try to see where the snakes are heading, but can't tell

Malinne sits up suddenly, and there is nobody around. She is where she last remembers being, in the woods, upon the ground. Days must have passed and she dreamed of people who visited her. She rubs her eyes and takes a good look around. It's night again, she must have slept for days straight and now she feels rested as never before.

With a quick stretch of her arms and an unecessary yawn she stands up and decides to head back to town, curious about the news. On her way she meets a very small, girl who greets her engergetically and begins talking as if she new her for a long time.

"Hi, I'm Alice she says, who are you?"

Malinne's emotions have grown colder, but even she can't resist Alice's kindness. Trying to hide her delight and acceptance of this stranger, she mumbles her own name.

Alice looks up at Malinne, who though isn't very tall, towers of her own short figure. She can't see her face because it's covered with the shadow of a hood.

"Are you responsible for all these snakes? I don't like them and I've been killing them left and right. Even moo gets tired, you know." she begins her conversation.

"Moo?" Malinne asks.

"That's my, er, nickname. And Alice is short for Adelais, which was short for my mother's name which is difficult to pronounce-."

"No," Malinne cuts off Alice, "I'm not responsible for these ugly things. She takes a look at one that slithers by her feet and doesn't bother with it. But they're pretty harmless, their tiny heads meet with my axe and that's that."

Alice giggles and pulls out her war axe. Malinne pushes her hood back and her eyes go wide, making Alice smile even more.

"How can you even lift that thing? It's twice your size!" Malinne exclaims.

"It doesn't matter what size I am. That is what this elven man told me. He also said his name doesn't matter when I asked what it was." Alice shrugs. When Malinne doesn't say anything and only continues her walk to Trollsbane, she continues talking. "You're really pretty. I know it's dark and everything... Why would you wear such a homely thing to cover your face?"

Malinne thinks for a moment. "I usually only wear it in the daytime. My skin is, sensitive to the sun..."

"Oh." Alice remains quiet for a moment, not knowing what to say. Then suddenly a random thought comes to mind. "You know, I have a sister named Madelyn, it sounds kind of like your name."

"Oh?" is Malinne's response.

"Yeah, she was my oldest sister. I wonder how she is doing right now..." Alice looks up at the stars for a moment as they continue there trip into town.

As Kincent walks back to the spot where he last saw Malinne.A stamped of snakes comes by,Kincent take out his axe and begins to cut a path trough the snakes.After a while they slow down,and Kincent once again goes back to think of that one thought that he can't get out of his head.Hold his arm as he walks,Kincent begins to hear someone talking.He follows the voice, as he come's to a small line of tree's he hears another voice one that sounds much more fimalry.Kincent's trips though the tree line,only to fall a few feet infront of Malinne, & a girl he thinks he's meet before.As Kincent pulls him self up..........

A black crow swoops above Malinne, it drops a short letter at Malinne's feet, Malinne picks it up but doesn't open it just yet, but when she does it reads...

Dear Malinne, I know you have been in solitude for a few days now. I am sure that you would have prefered not to have been bothered by people and letters and such but I am going to be gone for many days.
My kingdom has been taken over by a neighboring kingdom and I am off to try and save mine. I would have asked you to come with me but I didn't think you would have wanted to and I wouldn't have wanted you dieing for my kingdom.
Well, Malinne, I hope you do well while I am gone, and if you get any enemies, just tell them Grant Herion will return one day and get revenge on those who hurt his friends.

Malinne looks at Kincent, and then picks up the letter from Grant. After a long pause she tucks the letter away in her bag and looks again to Kincent.

"I feel like I've seen this before." she says finally. Even Alice just looks around not saying a word, only shaking her head at Kincent.

"Not very graceful, are you?" Alice asks as she helps him up.

"You should be a little more careful, the trees are not very strong these days." Malinne says to Kincent as he stands up dusting himself off. With a sigh she continues to speak. "It looks like a fellow Nargún worshipper has left the island... I have a feeling that yet another will be leaving pretty soon. There just aren't enough, but how easily there can be too many."

Alice looks up at Malinne with a questioning look in her eyes. Malinne just glances back for only a moment and looks away again.

"So what do you want, Kincent? Are you looking for me or something?" Malinne forces a smile on her face trying to make her presence more light-hearted.

"Hello." he says from a fair distance. Unsure of what else to say or do, he begins slowly edging away, wondering if there will be a response of any kind.

Before she gets a response from Kincent, she hears Cain's greeting in the distance. She looks to the direction from which his voice came from and smiles.

"Hello Cain, how have you been?" Malinne struggles to project her voice so that he can hear her. Alice looks up and waves with a big smile.

Kincent says with an uneasy look on his face."And yes I have been looking for you,but right now that's not........." he pause's once again try to find the right words.He then looks over to Alice and then back to Malinne,Kincent seems to be in a daze and at a lost of thought.Kincent leans on a tree holding his broken arm."A....." no matter how hard he trys he can't seem to form words he feels he needs to say.The wind picks up for a moment but then quickly dies,kincent then gets a evil grin on his face as his Hair begins to grow darker,and his eyes seem to change to a redish color.."No not now" he says to himself."Not the dream, please not the dream" he says in a still hushed voice.Kincent grips his axe,then turns and and begins to walk away quickly "Get away from here you two"Kincent say in a deep voice not that of his normaly tone.

"Speaking of dreams..." Malinne shakes her head. "Nevermind... I was trying to head to town when you fell into my path anyway. Farewell Kincent and keep in mind that I'm not the least bit intimidated by you." Malinne gives Kincent a wink.

"Yeah, moo is not scared either!" Alice nods and smiles hiding her concern for Kincent's visible changes.

Malinne looks at Alice with a slight grin then resumes her walk to town with Alice trailing behind.

"You are a bold one, eh? You seem very aware of your own strength. I'm very impressed by that. Perhaps one day you will grow in to your ability though I do not think that is necessary."

Maktan climbed up the tree to avoid the snakes and thought how ironic it was since he lectured kincent about climbing trees
(later when alice and malinne walked by)
Maktan sees malinne walk under his tree when he the snakes cleared. He saw that she has a lady with her. As they walked by he dropped a flower in her poccket without he knowing. Maktan thinks *he he i can't wait to see her confusion when she finally checks her poccket* And secretly follows malinne.

The snakes seem to vanish all at once, leaving behind piles of those that were killed. Drey, kneeling on a rock facing the forest, snorts in disgust.

What idiots, killing my snakes. They never did them harm.

Drey whistles and shouts in some ancient language, "Relg, fes tawq n'or!" ((pronounced relg fez tawk ni ore)) Somewhere, in the distance, a huge snake raises its head sleepily and hisses, obviously annoyed. It slithers quickly to Drey, where Drey jumps on its back. He hits its head playfully. "For a King Cobra, you sure are a lazy brute." The cobra hisses and takes off into the woods, nearly running over some people. "Sorry!" Drey shouts.

A giant snake slithers by and knocks maktan face down into the dirt. All he heard from the rider is "sorry". "Humph, he says sorry? I don't care of any sorries. If I see that snake again..." Maktan takes out ax.

After surveying the forest, Drey turns around. He sees people 100 feet ahead of him, so he slows down on his snake. Right when he is behind them, he jumps down. The 20-foot long King Cobra waits patiently behind him.

Could you point out who killed some of my snakes?

Drey sees Maktan's axe.

The 20-foot long King Cobra grab the axe out of Maktan's head in one flash of motion. Drey, moving in the same amount of time as the snake, kicks Maktan's legs out from under him and pins him to the ground. "Don't touch my snakes," he says from between his teeth.

"What if I touch them"Cloud Deathrider says from a hidden spot.He'sBlood red eyes seem to glow as He steps out from behind a bush.Cloud/Kincent has chanced since he saw Malinne last.His eyes,his hair,His size,and some other things wich are hidden under his cloak.Cloud Flash the Blade of his axe from under his cloak."It's about time I had a chance to get out my anger'......"Kincent that bastred has kept me Hidden long enough".......He then jumps in to the air and comes down with the blade of his draven point at the snakes head.........

Cloud feels a stinging pain in his stomach,and hits the ground landing on his Knees."not bad" Cloud stands, the snake bite heals sudenly heals.Cloud jumps up his and cuts the snakes eye leaveing a scar and a pool of blood.He then walks away"I've better than's to do"......."By the way it's Cloud Deathrider"........

Drey jumps up from on top of Maktan to the side of his snake. He stands by its massive head and pulls a bottle of ointment out of his pocket. He puts it onto the scar of the wound. Drey growls.

Freo continues on his path, slowly thinking through the odd night hes had, when suddenly he hears the oddest sounds coming from the forest. Sighing at his curiousity, Freo turns back and begins to return to the forest. Upon doing so, He turns to see Malinne and someone he does not yet know.

"Oh, hello Malinne," Freo said, in his slighly mysterious voice.

Looking down slighly, he notices someone else

"Hello to you as well, Madam," he said as he bowed slightly.

"Hello Freo." she says.

"Hi Freo, I'm Alice!" Alice introduces herself cheerfully as usual admiring the stranger.

Malinne listens for a second then sniffs the air. She smells something very familiar but can't quite figure out what it is. She remains absorbed in her thought for a long moment trying to figure it out ignoring the confused looks she is getting from Freo and Alice.

"Hmm... That scent, it's..." is all she says and she stops talking.

"Listen, um, I'm going back to town now, I'll leave you two hear to talk." says Alice. "It was really nice meeting you Malinne and Freo... Farewell."

"Farewell." says Malinne still deep in thought. She watches Alice leave the woods quickly yet unhurriedly. She then looks back at Freo who has just stopped waving to Alice. "What is on your mind?" she asks.

Korg sits down by the mill, falling asleep every now and then while he waits for his cabbage to grow.

Thinking to himself, Korg decides to pick up his cabbage and put them in his depot. Takeing out some grain and planting them where he had planted his cabbage before hand.

As Korg sits there waiting for his grain to grow. He relises that he has not see Malinne for some time now. He decides not to leave the grin and look for Malinne but instead he decides to stay and continue to grow his crops to help Malinne reach her goal.

Korg continues to sit and doze off every now and then as he waits for his little farm to grow.

Cloud who is still on the hunt for blood,Once again hears Kincent's voice "Cloud...you can't do this..." Kincent says even though he's very uneasy about it. "SHUT UP"Cloud yells then sundenly he hears foot steps.He looks over to see Alice he get's his axe ready...."Naw,I take care of that later" turns and walks away.After a long walk he hears Freo's voice shortly followed by Malinne's."Perfect"Could says with the evily grin on his face again.He get's his axe ready,and a dagger set in his other arm to be used as a throwing dagger.As he walks in to their sight Cloud says "Malinne,Kincent was a stuiped fool with emotions.Good thing that's not me"...."Freo hope you don't mind death".Cloud throws the dagger at Freo's head.

As quick as the dagger had been thrown from Cloud's hand, there is a rustle in some nearby bushes and a bolt flies through the air striking the dagger to the ground. Alun steps from the shadows, his crossbow by his side, gripped tightly.

"Lucky that I was nearby today," He says calmly to Freo. He looks at Alice, nods, then turns his attention to Kincent/Cloud. "I would not recommend you trying that again, lest one of those fly into your path."

Alun looks to his sheathed blade, ready to make a quick switch if the gap between them were closed suddenly. The wind whips lightly through Alun's hair, leaving a sort of ominous appearance in his stance.

Maktan already got up and ignored the snake and that ...um... snake tamer. For one thought came to his mind. Cloud! Kincent told him about Cloud. So he ran after Cloud/Kincent but he is at a lost of what to do. Kincent is not kincent right now. How can he stop an enemy that is also my friend. Instead he just spies at 'Cloud' fighting that archer as maktan thinks of what to do. That's when he got an idea. A trap! Malinne can be a lure. "Malinne please follow me! Please! I can help!" Maktan gestures toward a tunnel that leads thru a mountain. "Cloud! I dare you to catch us!"
