The stats you choose in the beginning don't rise later. Only the skills rise.

You can learn as many skills as you want.
Blacksmithing
Tailoring
Magic
Lumberjacking
Carpentry
Fishing
etc.

But to be really good at any of them you would need to concentrate on the one that you want to be good at. If you spend time working on all of them you will not get good in any of them (unless you are a powergamer).

Also this would not be good roleplay. A person who is a good blacksmith would not take some thread and leather and try to make his own shoes. He would sell his blacksmith products and use the money to buy some shoes from a tailor. Then the tailor would take her money and buy scissors and needles from a blacksmith. This is called roleplaying and interacting with other characters.

(example)
My character is a hunter. I hunt animals and creatures and sell the spoils from them to other players or to the shop. I do not try to make clothes out of the leather I get from pigs because I am not a tailor. Neither do I waste my time trying to dig up iron or coal to blacksmith with. I buy my armor and weapons from other characters who are blacksmiths.

This is spamming.

Don't give me that bullshit "there is no such thing as a stupid question". How come noobs come to the game and think they are kings? What the hell is up with that?!

Listen, Paulathan...

You know what true 'spamming' is? Being a jerk to a newbie just because his board grammer, spelling, punctuation, etc. isn't up to excellent standards, and calling everybody a hypocrite that you dislike. It gets quite old, and you my friend, are THE biggest spammer I've ever seen on these boards. Honestly, make your posts more "reply-worthy" and more than a sentence long eh?

ANYWAY...

Yes, there are many vocations that you can do, although your stats can never rise; I find this unfortunate, because my first character had low intelligence, therefore not being able to fully do magic when your a mage is pretty lame.

I just certainly hope you were more careful in choosing your stats before you requested the character through application.

Who's your character, Hermie? Who was the hobbit that complained about their magic not being high?

Anyway, I am leaving this discussion because I am sickened at how it is ENCOURAGED for noobs to ask stupid questions that could be answered just by playing the game and wasting everyone's time. Whatever. I don't care. And yes, stupid questions do exist.

The question seemed sensible to me, as he may not be playing yet, and is curious if there's any way to raise certain things that can or cannot be raised.

And what's this about Hermie anyway?
