That's true, it's really not difficult (however, I doubt that it would be easy for you). But why should I?

That just gets me mad. Martin, it is NOT our job to do the graphics, it's yours. And if the game's graphic artist is abandoning doing graphics, then that means he probably doesn't even care about the game.
Think about it -- if you really loved this job, then you would be making graphics. But I don't see anything new... I see a whole locked forum.

You aren't getting paid, and you complain about how hard it is. Why not just quit? Why not just remove this whole part of the forum?! It seems as if the graphics aren't important anymore.

Graphics don't get implemented untill there's a server change. There probably are new graphics we just wont see them untill this happens.

Maybe we will wait another good 2 WHOLE YEARS until they release the next one... and this time, they will make everything solid colors, and happy rainbow health/mana meters!

hey, weres the credit to galdriel?! she makes some of the graphics too ya know. not trying to suck up but i know how it feels not to be even the slightest thanks for things you do in your own free time. Martin just doesn't like making graphics that won't be used, can you really blame the guy?

If someone tells that "it is easy to", what's the point then? I would never ever say something like that about things which I am not able to do.

This was not flaming, it was an objective statement.

And, BTW, it's as much my job as it is yours or someone elses job. Because it's not a job at all.

Probably, yes. Did you ever think that some people around the globe have something else to do than Illarion? Ever thought of that? E.g. things like "study" or "write a diploma thesis" or even "having a private life"? I guess not.

Besides that: Who of the graphic artists abandoned doing graphics? I don't know a single one of them. Just tell me names, I'll ask then.
(If you're talking about me: In the past weeks and, lets say, 2 month I created about 1000 single graphics, which is far away from "nothing", considering that the actual client does not use much more single graphics than that, which means that I created as much graphics as there currently are in the client, not counting graphics others created -- besides that, I work several days per week untill 00:00, write my diploma thesis, learn for exams, teach students at university, teach a pupil for his exams in school, do sports AND have a private life, get lost with your stupid comments please, simply piss off!)

Think about it -- if you really loved this job, then you would be making graphics. But I don't see anything new... I see a whole locked forum.

You have NO idea, right? Not a single. You know why you see a locked forum? Because of people like you. I seriously think about closing the whole board because of your posting, just to let you know. And if there's someone to blame for losing my motivation in illarion graphics, you are the first one who comes into my mind. Thank you.

I will propose on the internal forums that you get a punishment; you need the time to think about your words, as I see it.

I am really, really, really pissed off by your postings. My free time is quite rare and I did a lot of things recently, not only graphics which WOULD be my job, but various other things like chaning specific parts of the server code, asking for special features which were implemented then, trying to get new GMs, (and, of course, creating graphics, helping others to create graphics, moderate forums, building in-game-structures, helping for quests).

And what for?

Martin, normally I don't really agree with some of the things you say, but I do think you have it pretty rough. Most people don't really understand that some of us have school, and jobs, and maybe a girlfriend. And you do a lot to help out, my head would explode, reform, and explode again, if I had to do as much as one of you GMs or Staff Members do to help out with this game. Erdrick says on one board (which made Galdriel angry on also) That he can't get his 5th character created properly (also I might add the problem is a simple one, but it exceeds his grasp as a dumbass to follow simple directions). Most people are waiting on their first character, and he's complaining about his 5th! Shit Erdrick, have a little patience, and give credit where it's due. The GMs do more for you then your mom does! They spend countless hours making a game that is free for morons like you to play. If you does not get on here and thank Martin properly I will have a deep pity in my heart for you if we ever meet in game. Poor heartless Bastard. Martin, if no one else does, I respect you, just as I do the rest of everyone who works on this game. You do this for free, and you do sound like you have a lot of things to do at school. Just be humbled by the fact that while you're helping to create the greatest RPG known to man, that loser is just complaining because he sucks at it. People should really show a little respect. I just don't see why someone could be like that to a GM. It's pointless, go flame the makers of the greatest game in the world on your own forum, this one is supposed to be used or constuctive things. But I've waisted enough space on this board, and considering it's about graphics (supposably) maybe we should lock this topic and get back to graphics. But before we all go, everone clap for the GMs who make this game for you. That's really a lot more polite then talking bad to them. Like I said, give respect where it's due.

I don't care if we never get new graphics, Illarion is wonderful sa it is. The only thing I'm wondering about is it seems you are always on a bad temper. If you made nicer posts I don't think there would be many posts complaining to you. I swear it sounds like sometimes you are lecturing a 3 year old or sometimes it sounds like you are yellind at someone for deiving a car thru your house. When you answer posts that seem so stupid, take a big breath and count prime numbers to calm down (works for me

). But otherwise you are a great and wise advisor and don't ban me for saying you are a bad tempered person. I'm just voicing my oppinion. Oops time for me to play the coolest game ever. bye

Edrick, you need to have a little more respect for Martin. Stop bothering him with your little rantings, and childlike attitude. Also you should have patience. Graphics aren't exactly easy to make, they take time. If you ask me Martin should get payed for having to listen to moronic posts such as these. I am very thankful for what he has done for the game, and if God willing, will do for the game. After being "flamed" by an assmunch like yourself. And please pay him a little respect. Look at my side real quick, my account got temp ban and i'm not whining about it. But i did ask when it was going to be reactivated. Didn't get an answer but hey, these guys work to hard just to answer these posts, read peoples answers to questions and such, and look at some of these dumb ass names for chars. Just leave the guy alone and maybe he can get some work done. Then you won't be bitching and moaning about anything......or about that specific thing anyways.

Sure Martin does tons of work.
But I see nothing in favor of a brighter future for Illarion. The client just got a lot brighter. I waited 2 years for that.

Erdrick, I've been her in one form or another since the number 10***, which is pretty much as long as you have been here. I think that your outburst at Martin, was uncalled for. Think back, to when the graphics were poor and substandard. Martin has worked consistently from that era, to cretae what we play today. As far as I am aware, it doesn't require a server change, just a client one...so be patient.
