First Blacklisted customer!

Friends, sadly I must announce that the Villain Greum has attacked your Guildmaster needlessly and has not apologized or made amends. We shall therefore blacklist him from buying or selling any goods or services to the Chamber of Commerce or it's representatives. It is important to cut off potential threats to peaceful business and our sterling reputation of excellent customer service, quality products and speedy delivery. We know we are the best suppliers at the cheapest prices, it is self-evident through the many customers we have who are happy with our service. He can salivate through the windows at Bernie's Shoppe at the Perfect Armors he will never have through us at reasonable prices. Let him pay in Gold for his actions with other less reputable suppliers, if he can find one!

I am hereby ordering all representatives and merchants of goodwill to suspend selling or buying anything with Greum, the Orc who calls himself the Don of Galmair.

More will be posted as the matter is taken up with the true Don of Galmair and his Left Hand.

Thank you.

We have Depots now!!

Yes!! The first depots to be built outside Towns or the Hempy to my knowledge!! We have waited months for these and a few days ago, me and a Grandmaster Carpenter and Grandmaster Spatial Wizard created and inbued them with magic at some cost to the guild, but they are worth the cost! We have one in the Triple S Saloon for the public, one in Bernie's shoppe and the Black Wyvern Mercenary Company has one for their storage needs!

These will help as we fill them with things for events, sales and personal needs of the members! Prepare for more events at the guildhall soon!!

Thank you!!

Updates:

Crafter's College has just discovered and added two new recipes!

1) Elven Wine - Made by the finest Brewers, now students can view the need for simple bananas and nuts in this extravagant and long-lasting drink. Bernie's shoppe will be offering them soon, and hopefully this will encourage our crafting students to try to be the best Brewers they can!

2) Lost Knowledge of Drow Bow - Through a generous trade, the College now has the recipe for this Legendary Bow, best of all Bows like the Fire Hunter's Bow. Rather than keep this knowledge to ourselves, we are sharing it so students and customers alike will know what goes into it.
Unfortunately, the Magic scroll containing Lost Knowledge comes also with designs and drawings that only can be read by the owner of the scroll (It shows up only in your choices when you craft under "Lost Knowledge"). New students seeking to recreate this Bow will not be able to, unless they too, have the magic scroll that imparts these designs. For now, I am investigating the designs and will produce them as soon as able. It is my hope that others with these Magic Scrolls will also share their knowledge and/or donate or sell their scrolls to the Chamber so that all may share in the knowledge.

3) With sales lower than projected for some time, the offerings of products in Runewick and Cadomyr will be suspended for now, consolidated and offered at Bernie's Shoppe at the Galmair Harbor. We will soon post regular hours of business there (TBA) or by appointment.

4) Jobs - The Chamber of Commerce is looking to hire for a couple positions:
Saloon Manager (5 Gold per event) - To maintain activity at the Saloon with Dances, Meals, Socials, etc. Food and Drink provided by CoC. Must be charismatic, patient and willing to host social events 2 dwarven hours each month ((RL week)) at the Saloon. ((Must post player events on website))
Bard (3 Gold per event) - To entertain customers at Saloon events and create harmony, goodwill and cheer. Occasionally tell stories, dance, sing or play intruments.

Thank you!!!!

Crafting Competition and New Member!

The Crafting competition was a success! We had three participants: Captain Malchus, Professor Caswir Drakull and Ela'Xander. Ela, went first and produced an excellent Club in good time, and then Caswir created a Perfect Club, and finally, Malchus created only a good one. Professor Caswir won the Pell of lost knowledge for the "Tray of Naldor Wood". It was a good, fair competition and we look forward to holding more soon to honor all the crafts!

Finally, Aerendael the mage had become Grandmaster of Teleport Magic through trade and support from the Guild. He has also provided us with several new Portal Books (Plains of Silence and Pauldron Isle). He has assisted the Guild in this endeavor and was bestowed the title of Honorary Member, Ally to Craftsmen. If anyone needs a teleport or a Book to one of the many places in Illarion, feel free to ask.

Thank you all for coming to the competition as we advance the awareness and needs of craftsmen everywhere!

New member:

Everyone join me in welcoming Alden Merrick to the CoC.

Alden is an apprentice Armorer, Blacksmith, Gemsmith and Carpenter! He'll be taking advantage of our forest nearby and tools to help his trade.

Welcome!!

In talking to Alden, I discovered I hadn't really added all the benefits to Chamber membership to the pages. I have now corrected that and member benefits can now be found in the Q&A on page 1.

We also have gathered the materials for a baking oven for the kitchen and will assemble that soon!

Thank you!!

Fishing Expedition

I am organizing a fishing expedition to the Southern Coast of Sirani later this month, 23rd of Tanos, 77 ((Sunday 26th October 1800)). I am opening this up to any member who is interested in coming along to fish for Mackerel, Crabs and possibly Eels ((Levels 40-70 Fishing)) in safety. Mercenaries will be paid by the Chamber. Meet up at the Saloon in the Guildhall!

See you there!

Success, New Baking Oven, Consignment, Rental and the next Expedition

Success!
Our fishing expedition for Chamber members was successful last month. We fished along the southern coast, gathered seagull eggs, beat back Golems and Wolves and had a great time. So good in fact, everyone wanted to go twice but alas, I ran out of time. The goods were delivered and the escorts paid. We'll do another later this month!

Baking Oven
Last night, with assistance from the Old Lion, Master Demelii, we were able to construct the new Baking Oven in the Guild Kitchen! Now, the Saloon will be able to offer baked goods, plates and soups as well as brews in-house! The position for Hostess/Barmaid is still open!

Consignment
With Master Demelii's assistance also came an interesting proposition, a consignment. He has a lot of Food he needs help to sell and to start off the Food fare at the Saloon, Master Demelii has made several baked goods, plate and soups for patrons to purchase. This is separate from my Shoppe, and all the money will go to Master Demelii's purse! We're going to start hosting socials at the Saloon and selling these foods for him. Come, Eat some food, drink some brew and listen to the gossip of the day to the sounds of sweet Syrita Bay!

Rental
The lower bedroom was also rented for Zhas, by the newest mercenary Shevelle. She's new and added some decoration to the Saloon, so if you meet her, say hello! Hopefully, she'll travel with us for fishing!

Next Expedition
We will be fishing along the southern coast for Mackerel, Crab and possibly Eels too. I'll also take this opportunity to gather some silk and Seagull Eggs as well on the way. We have planned extra time this time for a second trip if the escorts are willing.

The expedition will gather at the Bottoms Up Saloon on 22nd Zhas, 77 at 3:00 and last about 1-2 dwarven hours.
((Sunday November 2nd, 1700 Server time - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=69078000 ))

I am paying for the escorts, but any Chamber member is invited to go as well! Come get some fish for yourself too!

See you there!

Next Expedition & New Benefit:

I would like to organize another fishing expedition this month (Ushos), but this time we shall have 3-4 good escorts. Depending on available mercenaries, we will either go "Deep Sea Fishing" at the Lighthouse or the more dangerous Lobster expedition.
((Saturday 5pm server time - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=690f6900))

These two locations will be the most dangerous we have tried and we will have a teleport upon completion of the trip. There may be some waiting, and as always, the mercenaries will help carry extra fish. Depending on time, we may make 2 trips.

Any member is welcome to come along to fish for Swordfish ((Fishing lvl 90)) or Lobster ((Fishing lvl 100)) for yourself, or even just to see these areas and help carry extra fish for 5GP pay. Please let me know which. As always, we will meet and depart from the Guildhall.

New Member Benefit:
These Expeditions have created a new benefit to membership: Free tickets to go on Chamber Expeditions. These expeditions are for you, the members and not the public. They are meant to allow crafters access to get or obtain items which would be dangerous to get without hired help. All my life, I have relied on others to get what I needed. I understand that crafting is more important to us than swordplay. Hopefully, you will benefit your own crafts by getting items otherwise unobtainable by crafters and entrepreneurs. If you have any ideas for future expeditions, such as the Merinium Mine, Map hunting or even harvesting spider and dragon eggs, please let me know! We can always arrange multiple expeditions for you and other members.

Thank you!!

4 Expeditions this month!

All chamber members are welcome to take part in any or all of these for free! Don't worry if you don't have certain skills. If you help carry 25% of my load, I'll help you gather what you like, just let me know what you need. Merinium? Lobster? Silk? Raptor Eggs? They can be yours even without skill or coin. With the treasure maps, if we choose your Map, its your treasure.

First, let's organize a treasure hunting expedition!
For 2-3 dwarven hours, I will have Mercenaries escort us to look for and dig for treasures. Bring your own to dig if you like and we may go for it too! It may be postponed if we don't have proper escorts.
I propose these trips on 8th Siros, 77 @1200 ((Friday Oct , 2000 server time - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=69177c30))

Second, an easy Fishing Expedition. Another trip to the Kantabi southern coast to fish for Horse Mackerel((lvl40)), Crabs((lvl60)) and Eels ((lvl 70)) and collect silk. I propose this trip at normal time on 11th Siros 0300 - The fish tend to bite better early in the morning! ((Saturday, 15th November 1700 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=6918a380))

Third, another expedition to the Spider Coast to fish for either Swordfish ((lvl90)) or Lobsters ((lvl100)), depending on escorts. There will be some repetitive waiting once we get there. The mercenaries will carry as well.
I propose this single trip on 11th Siros @1200 - these monsters of the deep approach shore in midday ((Saturday 15th November 2000 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=6918cdb0))

Finally, a medium level quest to the merinium mine to collect both Raptor Eggs and Merinium Ore. The Warriors will carry as well as protect and clear the area of threats of slimes, raptors and terror beasts.
I propose this quest on the following dwarven day of 14th Siros, 77 @1200 ((Sunday, 16th November 2000 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=691a1f30))

So...plenty to do here at the Chamber this month, so if you need an opportunity to harvest these things, show up at the Saloon on those dates and times!

2 upcoming expeditions

The Fishing expeditions were fruitful last month! We had to postpone the merinium mine expedition, and the Treasure expedition finished with 7 maps explored, but nothing of value found. We'll schedule more of those later as better maps are discovered.

This month's Fishing expeditions will be:
(Easy) - Fishing along the Southern Coast for Horse Mackerel, Crabs and Eels as well as stealing Seagull eggs. We may do two trips. This is planned for 11th Ronas @0300. ((Sunday Nov 23, 1700 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=69232f80))

(Hard) - Fishing at Pauldron Island for Octopus. If we do not have enough escorts, we shall have to default to Swordfish but this promises to be good adventure, but there will some waiting time for new Octopi to spawn. This is planned for 11th Ronas @1200. ((Sunday Nov 23, 2000 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=692359b0))

Any member of the chamber is free to come along and get fish, or help carry and I'll get it for you. We meet at the Saloon at the designated times. Hope to see you there!

Fishing expeditions, New Member and Advancing member!

We had a great time with our fishing expeditions today! Margret and I were escorted by the Black Wyverns on two trips along the South Coast of Kantabi for Horse Mackerel, Crabs, Seagull Eggs and Eels. Along the way, the mercenaries also collected shards and silk. Nice and easy day.

Later, the same party went with the assistance of Master Mage Nalcaryos, to Pauldron Isle, and among the undead, we managed to collect 300 Octopus in 4 runs! An excellent catch! Everyone was compensated for their services and everyone left satisfied. Ooohhh, I can't wait for new tasty recipes for those!!

Any member of the Chamber and the Wyverns is welcome to attend any expeditions we plan.

The next expedition will be announced soon!

New Member:
Last week, a new member was initiated into the Chamber, Master Thalian Bauerfiend, a master Finesmith and Glassblower! He has already assisted me with stocking more potion bottles and getting perfect jewelry to glyph for later! He has fair prices and delivers what is asked in a reasonable time. Welcome!!

Advancing Member:
Today I had the privilege of grading Margret on her fine pieces in the crafts of Blacksmithing and Finesmithing! Indeed, she has advanced far, even obtaining Journeyman Certificates! We are so proud of her expanding her horizons beyond cooking and farming, and know that she will be a Grandmaster soon!! We congratulate her and wish her all the best!!

We exist to help you, the members, learn, hone and perfect your crafts! Let us know if there's anything else we can do to help. Thank you all and see you soon!!

Advancing member and no fishing trip this weekend

I meant to post this a couple of days ago, but I have the privilege of announcing the increasing skills of Alden Merrick, to Master Armorer, Blacksmith and Carpenter! He has been steadily increasing his skills these past few months and I have been delighted to watch the growth in this fine crafter. He's a man of good moral character and tradesmanship. No doubt, his skills will reach perfection very soon!! Congratulations Master Alden!!

Due to schedule conflicts, there will be no planned expeditions this month. I plan to resume our fishing expeditions next month.

Be safe and Happy trades!!

Advancing Members, new Council Member and Next Expedition!

First, we'd like to congratulate our Thalian Bauerfiend for achieving the Rank of Grandmaster in the great craft of Finesmithing!! It was a long journey and I had the privilege of watching and helping him as he started with Ruby rings and amulets and he progressed to making the diamond amulets! Surely well-deserved and we look forward to more achievements! He plans to master Glassmaking next! Congratulations!

Second, the very next night, our own Alden Merrick achieved the Rank of Grandmaster in the great craft of Blacksmithing!! I had the honor to watch this young man and trade wares with him as he grew and advanced to better pieces. My Shoppe is full of his work! It was a hard journey and his rank was hard won and well-deserved! He plans to go on to mastering Carpentry next! Congratulations!!

New Council Member:
As a member advances in the craft to the sublime rank of Grandmaster, they have the offer and right to accept a seat on the governing council of the Chamber. A Council member (no more than 5) helps with ideas, improvements, activities and plans for the Chamber of Commerce to serve as a teacher and promoter of crafts and a network of like minded businesses working together for the common good. The office is located on the second floor of the Guildhall for their use.

Both of our new Grandmasters were offered and Alden Merrick accepted the position. Together with me, we hope to help plan and implement fun activities and teaching opportunities for our members. Congratulations to Alden Merrick, Chamber Councilman! He was given a key, and building privileges so he too, can help around the Guildhall as needed.

Next Expedition:

We are planning to host a fishing expedition for our members next month. If you can't fish for these, come along, serve as a 'porter' (Carry stuff), and I'll happily pay you 25% of the fish you carry for us. Our escort(s) will protect us.

(Dangerous) - Fishing at Pauldron Island for Octopus. If we do not have enough escorts, we shall have to default to Swordfish but this promises to be good adventure, but there will some waiting time for new Octopi to spawn. This is planned for 14th Olos @0300. ((Sunday Jan 11, 1700 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=6963c900))

Fishing Expedition, Member advances and Kitchen complete!

Our fishing expedition went well as we came back with 240 Lobsters! Thanks to the Black Wyvern company, we were quite safe. Any member of the chamber is invited to go for free even if you lack the skills to get the fish, we always need help carrying the catch!

Our next Chamber expedition will be on the 11th of Adras at 0300! ((Sunday 18th @1700 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=696d0380)) Instead of fish, we will be hunting for treasures all over illarion!! Come along and get a share! Fight, find or carry!! Meet at the Saloon.

Member advances:
Our very own Alden Merrick, Guild Councilman, has just proven his Grandmastery of Carpentry! Congratulations!! His hard work and dedication to the crafts shows and is rewarded in many ways. He is now pursuing the secrets of Armor-making!

Kitchen Complete!
It has been a long year, but finally all the necessary components of a complete kitchen have been completed under the Saloon! It is open to the public but especially to you, the members. There is a fountain, Oven, Baking Oven and Roasting Oven. In the Saloon above is a Brewing Wine Barrell and a Carpenter's Table in the Chamber Office upstairs. May you benefit from them as much as I do!

Thank you all!!

Treasure hunt delay and New Member!

Friends, on the morrow, we shall delay the Treasure Hunting for 3 dwarven hours!

I talked to the Captain of the Black Wyverns and he requested more time to gather his forces! We will try to search for Big treasures, maybe even Giant ones!

((We will meet at 2000 server time Sunday, at the Saloon))

New Member:

I'd like everyone to welcome Niles Drake, a Grandmaster Finesmith to our ranks! Niles is interested in obtaining unique items and was eager to join! He will also be working on Armorer as well! Welcome!!

So, busy day tomorrow! As always, any Chamber member is welcome to join on our expeditions! See you there!!

This Month's Expeditions & Advancement of member

It's Naras and time for more fish and treasures!! We are planning two expeditions for members, supported by Mercenaries from the Black Wyverns. May the God of Chaos favor our expeditions with random prosperity!!

All expeditions start at the "Bottoms Up" Saloon at the Galmair Harbor.

Fishing expedition:
(Hard) - Fishing at Pauldron Island for Octopus. If we do not have enough escorts, we shall have to default to Swordfish but this promises to be good adventure, but there will some waiting time for new Octopi to spawn. Pay is 15 Gold per escort due to danger and wait time. This is planned for 8th Naras @0300. ((Sunday Jan 25, 1700 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=69763e00))

Treasure Expedition:
(Medium to Hard) - Treasure hunting! We will be exploring the Kantabi desert for Average, Big and maybe even Giant maps (depending on escorts). At least 10 good map locations! Pay is equal share of treasure for each participant and first dibs to map owner. This is planned for 8th Naras @1200 ((Sunday Jan 25, 2000 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=69766830))

Advancement of Member:
Our own Daisy Bottoms has achieved the sublime rank of Grandmaster for her skills in farming! A long time farmer, she came to illarion to assist me with my business. Naturally shy and task oriented, her and her friends (Miffy, Kipli and Tabris) can be seen scurrying amongst the crop rows outside Galmair. It's been a long road to hoe *chuckle*, but her time and patience has finally allowed her to grow the elusive Pumpkins, a skill not many possess. Congratulations and may you continue to advance and help us through your efforts!! Thank you!

New Member and Expedition Success!

We'd like to welcome Zelphyra to our ranks as a Master Fishing Lizard! She was keen to join during the treasure hunt and proved her worth with precise Map Tracking! She was already so helpful, we'll invite her to all of our treasure expeditions! Welcome to the Chamber!!

Success!

Chamber of Commerce members and the Company of Black Wyverns hunted for treasures in the Northern Woods and uneathed no less than 6 Giant hordes, of which there were many magical gems, Gold, and lost knowledge for Adventurers Robes! I want to thank Captain Malchus, Zelphyra, Margret, Alden Merrick, Shevelle, Braithe and Lyrica for a wonderful and profitable time! We will definitely do this again next month! Get ready!

Next month's expeditions!!

Friends,

We had to cancel the treasure hunt, but we successfuly fished 100's of lobsters anyway! In Zhas, we propose to fund a fishing expedition and try again for a treasure hunt. I hope you, the emembers, can come provide support, fish or provide carrying assistance. It's open to any member!

Fishing expedition:
(Medium to Hard) - Deep Sea Fishing near the Lighthouse for Swordfish. This is planned for 12th Zhas @0300. ((Sunday Mar 1st, 1700 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=69a46280)). We may do two trips.

Treasure Expedition:
(Medium to Hard) - Treasure hunting! We will be exploring the Northern Woods for Average, Big and maybe even Giant maps (depending on escorts). At least 10 good map locations! Pay is equal share of treasure for each participant and first dibs to map owner. This is planned for 12th Zhas @1200 ((Sunday Mar 1st, 2000 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=69a48cb0)) Bring your own maps!!

We meet at the Saloon as always! Thank you!

This month's expeditions!!

Friends,

Sorry for the last minute announcement. Our last expeditions were successful, but sadly we have to forego the treasure hunts for a time for lack of escorts for the foreseeable future. I have contracted with the Wyverns to find the maps we have in their own time and I hope you do the same. Instead, we will sponsor more resource gathering expeditions into the wilds! I hope you, the members, can come provide support, fish, mine or otherwise provide carrying assistance. It's open to any member!

Fishing expedition:
(Medium) - Fishing along the south coast of Kantabi for Mackerel, Crabs and Eels, as well as procure Seagull eggs! Bring a pole and net, or just carry for half the catch! We'll leave on 9th Ushos at 0300 ((Sunday, March 8th, 1700 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=69ad9d00 ))

Mining Expedition:
(Medium) - We will head to the Merinium Mine to obtain Merinium Ore! Bring a Pickaxe and good conversation. There will be some waiting. This is planned for 9th Ushos @1200 ((Sunday Mar 8th, 2000 - https://illarion.org/community/un_timec ... y=69adc730 ))

We meet at the Saloon as always! Thank you!
