I read your invitation with interest. However, I would like to point out that a lecture with such essential content has a scope that should be held in a different setting. Instead of your small bar, I would therefore suggest the ambience of our unique Hall of Elara. It would not only be a tribute to the goddess to whom we owe knowledge and wisdom, but also an invitation to the Archmage, who would certainly also like to attend this lecture in an appropriate setting.
We can of course visit your bar in Yewdale afterwards to discuss the topics of your trible six paths.

Noticing two new parchments on the Illuminates' guild board, Cartaphilus stopped to peruse them. Having done so, he pulled a quill and ink bottle from his satchel, and added his signature below Asphyxine's in support of her motion.

Harvesting Aether Energy
Something as simple as a metal rod is capable of harvesting Aether energy from the air. The special properties of copper, allow for a rod, to collect energy as electricity when connected to a ground. It is the electric magnetic force of gravity that allow the copper to conduct current, as the magnetic force move the ions about inside the copper creating electricity. The higher the rod, the more energy is collected. One of the applications can be attached to the roof of a house for example.

A pillar would use the same effect, depending on the materials used in its construction of the obelisk.

A wand also uses the same concept, amplified during the crafting process with pure elements. These are all concepts of the Aether. It is energy stored all around us, in the air itself.

The Magic lecture - Gathering event
Went on as planned, copy of books were handed out. One in attendance. Times are slow.. Yet we must carry on.

A strange incident occurred during Mas: The coffin of Aswe's late wife, Irina Monteira, was exhumed, and her body vanished. Aswe suspects this to be the work of necromancers, and requests the Illuminates' help in the investigation. A ritual of arcane examination at Monteira's tomb may reveal if any magic, necromantic or otherwise, was recently cast at the burial site. As head of the guild it is your privilege and responsibility to lead this ritual. I suggest a meeting of the guild to discuss the details of this matter.

Days later, the old sorcerer returned to the guildhall, leaving a second letter on top of the first one, which appeared still untouched.

As no further delay in the investigation of the defiled grave could be tolerated, Asphyxine and I went ahead and conducted a ritual of arcane examination. The burial site's arcane structure showed no signs of magical manipulation, yet a power beyond description seemed to dwell in the grave's very soil, defying any intrusive magic, even our mere arcane probing.

As this strange force did not resemble any arcane spell known to us, we surmised that it was of non-arcane nature. We believe it to be the still lingering protection of the divine blessing with which Yridia, the priestess of Ushara, had hallowed the ground of Monteira's grave. We are convinced that no magic, let alone necromancy, could be performed at the burial site, for it would be dispelled by the hallowed ground. We thus judge the grave robbery to be a wholly mundane affair. A track of multiple large foot prints leading south from the grave lead us to believe that the crime was committed by a group of yet unknown people, who must have escaped either by boat or through a summoned magic portal.

Copper Crocus
Magical item - Carefully crafted by a master smith from copper to resemble a Crocus flower. I believe there to be some sort of magic tied to this item. An unnatural force. Is it something from the waters above I do not know. It seems to make a tone. Almost as if it was a musical note. The copper had been formed to be an alloy and gave off an unnatural glimmer. It was a mixture of copper and merinium. A wirewrap spool around the flower with a leaflet welded onto it. It surely was a nice piece of work. I have reason to believe it holds some type of energy or spirits. It has given me good luck and fortune along with wealth. It glimmer a strange glow - and at times would emit a tone, much like a musical note from a harp or tuning fork. Could it be possible this ornate copper piece hold some sort of arcane or should I say ethereal powers? I had afterall been hearing and seeing strange occurrences.

Is it so far fetched to think that this item could present magical purpose- or perhaps it gave me some kind of luck on the battlefield. As I was able to take home first place in the Nargun tournament. A magical item proving great success and luck? Even an edge on the battle field would prove great use to the illuminates indeed. Seems the magical world is quite alive after all. Even in these simple trinkets and artifacts. This could even be a magic that is not well known - the unknown. It is not blasphemy to assume there are unknown types of magic.


Spatial Magic introduction
A new type of magic has been discovered in the midst of the chaos. Teleportation spells have become possible. The teleportation spell works by interfacing with the arcane structures themselves. As it would be the arcane structures like the columns we all know have been known to have mana streams running directly to them as a source.

Here dawns a new era as mages now able to use spells and quill to create portal books. An amazing feature brought down surely by the gods themselves. If only more could be learned from this, we mages would hold the keys to fast travel. ..


Shift in glyphs
Recently there seem to be a shift in the natural order of glyph magic. I had forseen this happening and adjusted my notes in my recent books. What caused this some may wonder? Could it be something simple as a shift of magnetic powers in illarion? I think so. We had first reports of this happening some time ago. Anyways all seems to be in working order as I am able to form some of these glyphs and use them.

The effects seem to hold more energy or sheer force. This is good. It means our studies are paying off as we better make use of the magical shards.

Caswir test out a new weapon. ♆
Errol's Toe, a mighty Partizen, crafted from polished dragon bone, with Rune ornated ribbon mysteriously levitating. Caswir is making his presence more well known recently. The new study of runes has drawn to his attention. The mighty weapon Errol's Toe will now guide Caswir, as he returns the Meteoric Flammeberg to its original owner. A bit of sadness swept over him, he has known this sword for many battles. Though this seems to be the way. It was a gift from the old dwarf Tialdin, that he even sold it to you to begin with. Honestly Caswir kinda talked him into it, slowly convincing him. The dwarf seemed attached to it. Anyways he will make a great addition to Runewick's roster.


Planning for a meeting.
Planning for a town meeting has begun. Caswir is waiting to first visit with the Archmage for some buisness. After this a time will be placed for a town meeting. Caswir will make his presence known as his time in the academic council continues. A great new era is upon us in Runewick as a time when magic has sprung into reality. Forever changing the timeline- and will reveal that which one would ponder. The great beast grows.

Strike quick and deadly
"Ive become affiliated with the Raven Daggar. It has an odd appeal to me. Fast striking, dealing heavy damage." -Caswir Drakull.

Mantis form
The Mantis be the one who watches. He waits to enjoy the fight. His spirit stands tall. It absorbs me as I throw the mantis strike aiming at the pressure points. The fight breaks out and the mantis form wins the fight. Mantis gets knocked off his perch amid a scuffle. Invoking him to molt. After everyone has left, his green exoskeleton can be found. Stepped on from one of the fighters. It is the mantis strike that shakes an opponent's core. Mantis lends it spirit. Getting so close to the fight it is thrown about. Poor Mantis... He only wanted in on the action.

Mantis form will focus on pressure points on the chest and double handed attacks. Extended cat stance foot form. Take upon forms during Shadow Boxing exercises.

The lord of gourds. Does not seize. He plots and plans as reality is constantly chaos.

Helm of Darkness
Has an invisibility effect on the bearer. Canines become prominent when worn by a Human race, and only then. Ive managed a way to control the growth. But yes I believe it to be a magical item.

As I ponder my orb... "What does that make me?"

Old age seems to have taken a grip on me, but with this new power and recently learned RUNES! Can you believe it? Actual runes have taken effect in Illarion once more. Glory has fallen over the realm and a true gift from the gods was given.



Hand of the Philosopher
It is known that the philosophers hand is directly connected to the philosophers stone. Otherwise it is the hand the purify the stone.

Believed to hold the key to divinity and invitation to discover profound secrets.

The stone itself, will give you god like abilities. Like the magical shards in a way. They hold a hidden power that when used correctly create magical abilities for combat or crafting.



Once one becomes attached to the hand, it begins to act as a guide. You could say a guide to ones golden self or form. Or will guide you directly to gold.

Caswir sifts out on the roof. He takes out a cherrywood pipe and fills it with green and brown herbs. Blue lilly haze. Its brim is charred to one side. Caswir looks taller for some reason. Or is it those Shadow Beast Canines atop his head. The new weapon feels good. "I told Tialdin I like this weapon more. It does feel good to have."

"I will hold a bondfire. Drinking event for the guild. And invite the mages of town. I know we have some new mages in mind we like to see. Ill have to tell Nalcaryos that I will be at the meeting. If I seen him before then. Should work out for me."

Mage Guildhall Meeting.
Meet Caswir in Yewdale - to have a meal and revive a plan to pant a rather acidic plant. Lizard trap plant Seed I have. It will add to the trap plants. They ate people at one point so .. yeh we really gotta be careful here. There are some of these trap plants at far end of the Runewick peninsula.
**Note Trap plants have eaten people. They spit acid so we have to bring like hatchets seemed to work good and shields.

This Painting is old, he looks at a painting attached to the wall of the halls of the guild. It is a portrait of him with Canine atop his head. "I remember when I first won these in a hunting event. I was the only one there. Super fun to do though."



Resilience tests on rat subjects reveals order of best defense.
