Diplomatic Request/Warning to Runewick Crafters

Post by Gorluss »

Good morning fellow Runewickers,

This is a public warning to Runewicker crafters, and a request to Ambassador Eli, regarding the working conditions of Cadomyr's workshop. As our citizens have recently become aware, we have been specifically targeted to pay costs to upkeep Cadomyr's workshop. It seems reasonable that in return Cadomyr makes representations and warranty that their workshop is in proper working order. However, this has not recently been the case. The Lizard Man Fooser paid 1 gold coin for an alpha license. He is not aware if other citizens have also paid coins for this purpose. Despite this he has made the following observations:
  • The Gem Cutter keeps getting jammed despite proper use of the tool.
  • As an expert smelter, the Lizard Man estimates that the exhausts from the smelters have not been professionally cleaned in at least one year. The soot build-up in these exhausts could ignite and cause a fire. Additionally, if the soot gets expunged from the exhausts under uncontrolled conditions, they can be breathed in by the worker causing negative health effects.
  • The strong winds of Cadomyr blow sand and dirt through the door onto the floor of the workshop. After some time these build-ups become a tripping hazard as workers can slide on the dirt/sand on the floor. Does Cadomyr not have brooms?
Workers should be aware of these conditions and that their single gold coins may not be going to providing the premium service one would expect.

The condition of facilities is a matter for the respective city. Wear, defects and dirt are common occurrences in workshops. It is therefore logical and helpful if the craftsmen contact a responsible person directly on site to draw attention to this. The situation can also be better clarified on the spot by experts.
This is therefore not a diplomatic task and does not require the intervention of a diplomat.

Therefore my request, please clarify the problem with tools on site with a workshop manager. If you have suggestions for diplomatic action, please contact me.

The matter is considered closed.
