Adding surname

Post by Miliae Alquaria »

I was wondering if it is possible me to get a surname. I've decided that it would be better for me to have one, and, since my forum account was invalidated accidently, I added it to my forum name. I would really like it to be my ingame name as well. Would this be too much trouble? It isn't really that big of a deal, but it would be nice.

you can handle this problem by using the "title" option ingame...

when you log in just type the following: !suffix Alquaria
and yes... you can make a "lady" out of yourself using: !prefix Lady

so what do you get? Lady Milae Alquaria
after you have fixed the name the way you want to have it run around and introduce again to every person....

Thanks Zerbus. I guess that is easy enough. I don't need to go through the trouble of getting a whole new name.
Thank you anyways Galdriel. I don't need to waste your time.

hehe...I like it...:)

this command was for some reason not disabled. As most people knew prefixes and suffixes in game were useless before, so they decided to put this command in for those people, now that it does work (the title) box in the client, newer people shouldn't have a need for it.

short version: they don't tell newer people about these commands because they should put their titles in when creating a character, thats why it doesn't say it at the startup.

There's a problem with that, however. The client when asking for a title has one field, title. It doesn't know if it's a prefix (Lady, Lord) or a sufix (of Monrovia) or not.

The client needs to be updated to have two fields, one for prefix, one for suffix.

Until such time as that is done, the !prefix and !suffix will need to be used.

Although, yes, it was just designed for a temporary fix until the client could handle prefixes and suffixes. I had tried to mass change titles into prefixes and suffixes, and for the most part did it right, but I botched about 1/3rd of them somehow and lost their title all together.

But, it was implemented as a one time fix for players, to put them in and leave them alone, don't go changing them.

Hmmm...Is that why there seems to be this problem where it forgets my added surname until I hit '#i' ?
