What is happening to Illarion?

Post by shlape »

I have not yet entered Illarion but I have heard that all the animals disappeared and there is a drought and other bad things. Perhaps you should pray to the gods, Especially Oldra (the goddess of life and fertility)! You should hold ceremonies where you pray and ask for forgiveness and dance to make the gods happy! You deffinitely should pray to Nargun (god of chaos) to stop what he is doing. I do not believe in most of these gods but if you do pray to them... it just might work. The only god I believe in is the God who made this world.

The god(s) who made this world are Ushara, Bragon, Eldan, Tanora, and Findari. If you believe in all of these why do you not believe in the younger gods?
And what makes you think Nargun has anything to do with the disapearance of the animals? Fore he is a gambler, and a vengeful god. And would have nothing to gain from making the animals disapear. And as a loyal follower of Nargun I take offense to you accussing Nargun of this. And ye should pray to Ronagan that you can hide in the shadows from me.

No no.... I am not accusing him of doing this. I just heard that he is the god of Chaos. What is happening to Illarion truely IS chaos.

But what do I know? I am just a poor old fool.

I do not really believe in the "Elder gods" either.....

But again, what do i know?

Who are you? "You deffinitely should pray to Nargun (god of chaos) to stop what he is doing. " You seem to be sure it is him who is doing this. Do not ever say my god is doing something is obviously not.

A note is found on the wall, it belongs to the silent stranger most people already know of.

I have heard this place worships several gods. Where do the names of the gods come from? Were they ever mortal or always divine? Were they ever physically real or always stayed unseen, unproven?

As you have obviously never been educated in theology, you should stop to talk about such a topic, shlape. You cannot deny a part of Illarion`s pantheon, while praying to another part of it. Your words are one step away to become heresy.
As you are still an outsider, i will not punish you for your ignorance, but should i see you preaching your blasphemous ideas in the streets of our town, i will make you repent.

As you never visited our island before, there is no reason to bother us with your believes, you will soon have to learn or perish. To speculate about things you never experienced, will lead to the second.

A word of advice: Never dare to talk about the gods again in this disrespectful way, or deny their existance, or you might find yourself burning on a stake within the first week.

There is no such deity as "the one God". Even the Temple libraries of my far home tell the same stories as the Archives of Nanuk Moonsilver. There were the five Elder Gods who came to this world long ago, and formed it after their will. Then they created the first mortal races, from which they had chosen eleven beings which they transformed into the Younger Gods. Those are the only Gods we know.
I have seen many people worshipping other deities, but did those ever show their powers? Did they ever appear those who needed their guidance? No. The Sixteen however, have proven their powers countless times, and prove it again every day.
