Hm, I see that its obvious that Kringin died...
Anyway, another anology. If you were the skule bully and someone threw an airplane at you in class, you would have your friends beat him up. Then, would you go and beat him up again right after your friends beat him up? I don't think I would, nor would it make much sense...

I wasn't comparing those parts, I was comparing the punishment. Tell me, how many death sentences did Timothy McVeigh get for killing hundreds of people and little children? One, right? And how many death sentences did Kringin get? Two. How does that work? And don't tell me that is a bad analogy.Caranthir the great wrote:Yeah, but your analogy doesn't fit, beacuse it's like comparing a car crash and someone dropping a plate on ground together.
Attempted murder is a lot more serious than someone throwing paper aircrafts. Not comparable.
hmm after i was killed the first time all i did was ask for an apology because he had killed me a year ago (RP wise) and he did not he killed me. It was totally unprovoked. I was about to walk off them bam he started to attack me. I am not trying report anything, just setting many examples.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Back to the topic tho.
Considering the awful state rp has come to these days, maybe we should not only focus on weeding out from the people joining now, but also have a little glance at the people already somewhat established here already. Of course this has been proposed before and so forth, but how can we weed out all those who are slowly but surely destroying the game for us?
Obviously quite a few names come to mind, but how can we insure that those who come through the account application actually do intend to not just play the game but actually interact with it?
Time and again, I personally see this coming back to the question of maturity... There are of course countless fantastic roleplayers out there many of whom are under 16 and such, but there just seems to be many more who just dont fit. It's all very good with this game being recommended to ages 16 and over, but considering that most people dont even bother browsing the site before playing, and that many others just dont care...
I suppose it's no news, but many of us are after all slowly starting to wonder why we still bother.

What I meant is:
These days, you log on and try to roleplay. Almost immediately, some kid jumps around screaming he's possessed, and attacks people. a few seconds later, another person appears and claims that they are the master of theuniverse, and begins casting fire everywhere...
Then two people walk by talking about last night's basketball game...
Let us not forget though, that some self proclaimed saint will have bugged you about 10 times by now asking you if you are evil, and sayign that he is good and will destroy all evil... Let us al bow down to the great hero...
With all that going on, it becomes positively hard to rp ye know...
Just take a look today at the RP board, what do you see?
One person suddenly claims he's a werewolf...
You have another kid who keeps going around saying he's dead and the town must burn...
and more so, a proclamation that there should be a dueling day...
Do you see what we are up against?!

I am not aware that I walked around saying I was dead, and I never said the town must burn, I did it.Mishrack wrote: You have another kid who keeps going around saying he's dead and the town must burn...

But Paul is long dead and will not bother you again, but I am annoyed that everyone who was there practically ignored his death and forgot about it! I was expecting something... but I had to go and post it myself! What happened there?!?!
um, exactly what is wrong with that?Mishrack wrote:.....and more so, a proclamation that there should be a dueling day...

The knights of old days dueled all the time. They always held festivals and contests where they would joust and battle with swords.
Not to mention the gladiators of Rome.

Of course it is.Mishrack wrote:Crocket, To me that just sonds like another attempt at justifying training, and goes to show that some people are getting desperate with not being able to hack n slash things...
You HAVE to train and this is one way to do it. This is not powergaming but TRAINING. People seem to get it mixed up a lot. And you sometimes have to hack n slash in order to release your aggresive tendancies. People still do it in today's time.
Ways people release aggresion today....
- hunting
- sports
- exercise
- watch a violent movie
- speeding
- fighting
