  It will no doubt melt your heart that your loyal underling, baron K'shire, possessed a great deal of intellect during our negotiations and won back his love, Allesandra. But whilst his underhanded trickery was almost amusing, the whole affair was not without cost. You see, whilst the baron has a great deal of sympathy for the lives of mortals and the art of negotiation, you seem to possess neither trait. How, one may ponder, can a count and a baron with two vastly different ideologies work together? Let's find out! The baron played well, so let's see how you roll the dice in a similar scenario.
  
  I have taken your house member and dear friend of your own wench, Rosea Finstersee, as my prisoner. There's no question about it, whether she lives or dies is entirely up to you. The rules of the game are quite simple and I will gift you three choices:
  
  1) Retire from your position as count of Cadomyr
  2) Supply my soldiers with a gem grinder at a location of my choosing
  3) Take matters into your own hands and allow the prisoner to die
  
  I'm sure you'll agree I have been quite generous with your choices. So, what will it be? Will you allow your fanaticism to cause another mortal, your own friend, to dwell for eternity in the underworld as you did Ermina? Or will you save a life in return for something with expendable value as I assume you will?
  
  The answer is yours alone in this question of morality! Let us show the mortals of Illarion who you truly are.

Unterdessen, an einem dunklen Ort in Illarion, hat ein kleines Geschöpf es nach unzähligen Versuchen aufgegeben sich von den Fesseln befreien zu wollen. Das Gesicht verdreckt und überströmt mit Tränen und Blut aus der Wunde am Bein, welche ihr der schreckliche Mann bei ihrem kläglichen Fluchtversuch zugeführt hat. Zusammengekauert und zitternd vor Kälte und Schmerz fällt sie wimmernd in einen Zustand zwischen Ohnmacht und Schlaf.

Am dunklen Ort, den nur in den Abendstunden zwei, drei kleinste Lichtstrahlen erreichen, stemmt sich die kleine Rosea tapfer gegen ihr Schicksal. Die Wunde am Bein scheint trotz den schlechten Umständen zu heilen, die Salbe oder der Trank (mangelnds Kenntniss wie die Flüssigkeit in der Flasche anzuwenden ist hat sie beides getan: Davon getrunken sowie es auf die Wunde geschüttet) scheint wundersame Kräfte zu haben. Die erhaltene Notration riecht zwar keineswegs mehr so wie sie sollte, aber halbwegs geniessbar scheint sie noch zu sein. Das Problem mit dem Wasser, welches sie beinahe zur Verzweiflung getrieben hat, konnte sie auch insofern lösen, dass sie bei Regen etwas davon, was als dünnes Rinnsal in ihr Gefängnis lief auffangen konnte. "Ich werde hier drin nicht zugrunde gehen, meine Freunde werden mich retten!"

In the dark place, which is reached only by two or three tiny beams in the evening hours, the little Rosea bravely struggles against her fate. The wound on the leg seems to cure, in spite of the bad circumstances, the ointment or the potion (in lack of knowledge what's the liquid in the bottle, she's done both: drank it and poured it on the wound) seems to have miraculous powers. The food she received does not smell as it should, but it seems to be half-enjoyable still. The problem with the water, which almost drove her to despair, she solved with catching some of the rain that in very small streams run into her prison. "I will not perish in here, my friends will save me!"

Es vergehen einige Tage, als ein paar Elfen südlich des Spinnenberges und im Westen der Schlangenkopfbucht einen ziemlich ziemlich verbeult aussehenden Zwerg in einen Brunnen klettern sehen.

Later that day the Dwarf stumbled through the Nargun Forest, when he heard some voices.
He heard a snarling Gray coming from between some rocks with a bloody bag.

Unable to grab the bag he tried to fight for it, to no avail.

Somewhat later the Dwarf is seen, carrying a small headless corpse through the gates of Galmair.
