challenge to a duel

  • Baron Ssar'ney does find himself infuriated by the written words of Vern Burnhammer and Keva Bran.

Discussions of sort such as displayed by them on this board shall to be held with Her Majesty, chosen of the Goddess,
or Her representatives and are to be stopped at once if wished by them.
It is a shame that each force the Cadomyrian people to waste their time listening to such filth.
Furthermore he simply does not find it tolerable to put up lengthy papers speaking bad of Her Majesty, chosen of the Goddess,
or even consider consorting with priests of the lesser God of Blood.

Consequently Baron Ssar'ney does hereby publicly challenge Vern Burnhammer as well as well as Keva Bran to a duel.
The fights shall be done without armour and weapons, for the winner is to be determined by faith, strength and honour alone.
Place, time and definition of defeat he does leave to each of the challenged.

Responses to the challenges are to be handed towards Royal Chancellor, Anthar Vilicon by words spoken or written.

Praised be the Ushak–Sskhath and long live Her Majesty,

    • ~Ssar'ney
      • Templewarrior of Zlephia
        Baron of the Crimson Court

Written by scribe Lettarius, refined for better understanding by the common people.

Ye obviously are not well informed an know little of me and how I do an say things, I have been a loyal servant of her majesty's from the beginning.

Thats besides the point, I accept your challenge.
Luck te ye an may yer faith be strong. If mine should be stronger than ye are not te harm the lass, that is my only condition on victory. As te a fight, honorable combat is generally done wit weapons not fists like tavern room brawls.

-Vern Burnhammer grandmaster warrior, Baron, and defeator of Krunk.

  • Sir Burnhammer and Templewarrior Ssar'ney have settled upon the following terms:

    • -The duel will begin with the Sun reaching its highest point on the 19th of Chos, 43 years after the fall of the Whichking in the Bloodcircle Arena.
-To ensure no use of potions each combatant is to enter the arena at dawn.
((*)) No potions are to be used from then until victory of one party.
-Each combatant will carry no armour and wield a mundane long sword. The weapons are to be inspected by the other party to make sure no poison, gems or magic are being used. Each party is to provide their own weapon.
-Defeat is defined by breaking any point of the agreement, going down or pronouncing the word 'yield' audible to the seconds. Should multiple defeat defining actions take place, the first defines the outcome.
-Each party may bring a formal second to ensure a legal and honourable duel.
-In case of Sir Burnhammers victory, Templewarrior Ssar'ney will revoke the challenge to Keva Bran. Templewarrior Ssar'ney does pose no demands upon the challenged Sir Burnhammer.

Long live Her Majesty, Chosen of the Goddess.

Put to paper by the magnificent scribe Lettarius.
