Undesirably ((Open RP ))

Post by Orianna »

((all who have met Orianna yet, feel free to post here, too))

She gathered herbs to cool her mind. But it didn't work this time, every herb, every cut, every heartbeat she saw this boyish smile.
Trying to restrain herself, getting herself back to a peaceful mind didn't work either.
With a deep sigh she sat down on the gras.

Ethan had seen through her, more then she was aware of and now her world was again tumbling down. This young man was far to charming to be the honest sort of men. She knew this from her past so well.
And even if he wasn't that bad - he was like a beacon in the dark and all the moth's were drawn to him. Beautiful women, elfess - maybe even men. She couldn't go into a contest again all this, nor she wanted.

It would be better to stay away from him as good as possible. Slowly she rose from her sitting position, grabbing the sickle hard and with this move a whisper faded in the wind: "Dwyn ..."

Kicking the sand violently wasn't her best idea, she had to admitt that. Now she was covered over and over in the golden dust of the desert. A bitter chuckle escaped her lips as she tried to remove it, bringing herself in a shape she could go back in town without people staring at her. The Palm Tree gave her the shadow she needed to open her stubborn braid and remove the clothes. After some hard shakes it seems to look a tad better. The brush did help, too.
She murmured quietly while brushing the flaxen mass of her hair.

"So why - by all the gods - you are going always against your own rules ? Are you insane ? You wanted to stay away from him - but NO, he is asking for a drink with this friend and you run behind him in the tavern like a sheep. And like a sheep you did glance at him, getting weak when he gave you his boyish smile. Such a smile should be forbidden, I tell you !"
She pondered a moment nibbling thoughtfully on her lower lip.
"He will take me now for a fool, that's for sure. Running away hastily, such an idiotic idea."

She leaned against the tree, braid her hair slowly with closed eyes. Her heart did burn, not about Dwyn alone - his question stirred all the things up like a wave she wanted so desperate to forget.

After a liitle while her breath became smooth, she fell asleep, maybe find some peace.

”Is that why you want to sign up with the Royal Guard? Going on ‘shag patrol’?”, Ron had said jokingly and laughed, but Dwyn was not only confused, but offended at first at his best friends remark. ”What the heck are you talking about?”, he inquired. ”Have you not noticed their looks?””Whose looks?”.
It wasn’t the first time that the two friends had this conversation. Ron kept going on about how Dwyn was oblivious to all the attention he was getting, even back in their home town. Dwyn on the other hand thought it was nonsense. He was just being friendly. He could hardly imagine that any of the ladies around him were interested in something more than just his friendship.

He looked at the letter in his hands that he had received today. It was a note from Orianna, apologizing for her sudden leave the other day. He felt guilty. This was the second time he had made someone uncomfortable with this questions about their past, the last one being Sefja. The thought he had scared away the lovely blonde lady, made him feel a sting in his heart. He sat down in the inn, to write her a reply:

“Dear Miss Orianna,

I want to sincerely apologise if I made you feel uncomfortable. I, of couse, will not pry. But should there be anything you ever would like to talk about, please rest assured, that I’ll be here to listen. A sorrow shared is a sorrow halved. I hope we will find each other again soon in the tavern. And don’t worry about Ron, neither of us have taken any offense.

Your friend,
Dwyn,
- who is still not a ‘Sir’.

She had read the message from Dwyn already a dozen times. Still she wasn't sure what to think about.
Last night as nightmares start to hunt her again she was going to get drunk in the tavern. She didn't success completely - means she wasn't wasted as some times before.
The reason was S'rrt - of all things a lizard-man convinced her to stop, not drinking the problems away.
He was so concerned about her that he actually could reach her, let her think about all. He did offer a ear for her, but she couldn't talk to a lizard about, even if S'rrt was the nicest she ever met.
Dwyn seems to avoid her - she didn't seen him lately. But maybe, if he really was honest, he could be the one.
Deep in her heart was buried the wish to talk about that all, finally. She had covered herself in self-denial for over two years.

Was the time right now ? Should she really share the pain ?

Again the note was opened by small hands to be read once more.

"This is my fight not yours Dwyn" with this words she left him behind at the shore.
She felt like she hadn't slept for days, but the sleep wont come.
Sefja had humiliated, embarrased her. How could a woman be like that ?
Seeking her own fortune in accusing others for things she not even was able to know or understand ?
But Dwyn said she was sorry about - and Orianna, she wont hold a grudge against this Norodaj.

As she was thinking about she realized how breakable she still was.

And Dwyn - ? She started to believe that he was really such a pure and innocent guy. It was hard to trust him, though.
After what happened in the Tavern she couldn't tell him anymore about herself, atleast not yet.
Her feelings toward him were strong, but she had to bury them. Her only wish was to see him happy.

But was she strong enough to be simple his friend ? Or was this maybe the final solution for inner peace - friendship ?
